Red Vs Green by Flying Cat of the Pepes

There are instructions on the controls in the game, you can see them on the floor when you start the game, and the mechanics should be very easy to get a hold of. But incase you're confused about something:
CONTROLS:
-Arrow keys to move.
-Mouse to aim. You don't have to click, weapons are automatic. Spacebar to pause.
MECHANICS HELP:
-Kill all enemies in a room to complete it. 3 blue slabs will come out of the ground with icons on them, each representing a weapon or perk you can choose. Step on them to see a description of what they offer. Left-Click while standing on a slab to equip its weapon or perk. You may only choose 1 for each room, the other 2 will be lost.
-Walk up to go to the next room.
That's the basics!
Note with download: If when you try to run the game, a window opens but then immediately disappears, try opening it in command prompt (Windows). This happens sometimes on my computer but I haven't heard of anyone else having problems with it in previous ludum dares I've done. So it shouldn't be a problem, but if it is, heres how you do it: Open command prompt, type in "cd " and the location of the RedVsGreen folder then type in "java -jar RedVsGreen.jar" and it should open.

Please let me know if you fix it. Your game looks interesting and I would love to play it.

Anyhow: The sounds made me smile, the different arrows and power-ups where quite cool!
How far you get seems to be mostly luck. My second run I got about 2000 because I got two shields early and then collected a lot of monkeys later on. Defense seems to be the only real way to make it anywhere in the game, as it's practically impossible to dodge most of the enemy shots.
I wonder if there would be a way to make the game a bit fairer in that respect. The player has very little that would let them dodge enemies. Maybe go the Enter the Gungeon route of having a moderate number of enemies per room but some with more complicated attacks?
I like the start screen with the unlocking upgrades as you get farther. In general I like how the upgrade system looks.
I see you also belong to the mouth sounds team :P

Fun game! Well done!
Sound was strange and not very helpful :)
Art was nice and controls were good! I think a very small amount of level randomization would make it interesting a lot longer. And also more enemy types but that's a much bigger feature :)
