There seemed to be only one exit from each room, so no exploring needed. More variety would have helped a lot - the rooms all felt the same. Health indicator didn't seem to work - it always read 5.

Thanks for feedback :) That is actually health attribute, health indicator is in top left corner. You can hold H to see help panel, as it might clarify some stuff. As for rooms, yeah, we wish there was multiple passages as well, but time constraints were limiting.

Just played the game. Great submission. Loved the artstyle (always a fan of pixelart). Rooms could use a bit more randomness, but overal great jam entry!! Extra points for web entry.

Edit: Ooh, didnt realise I could use H for help

Really liked the art style! The game is a bit much drawn out for me. and I'm not sure about the following: After you beat the endboss, do you just repeat the already played section with enemies, that have more health? I liked, that you can decide what ability you want to upgrade. Also that you start with nearly no sight. And the back story (although I didn't really grasp it) supports the mood :)

As everyone has already stated great art! I like the combat for a while but it did get a bit monotonous and after I died before getting to the first boss I didn't really want to go through it all again. A check point would have been really nice so you can start at the room you were last in

Nice style and sound desing! Good job. But too long for me.

Great narrative and solid gameplay. As there is no exploration of the dungeon and few enemy types, I think the game could be a tad shorter. Also, does it reset you to the very beginning when you die? This seems pretty harsh for a game in which some might only keep going to get the next piece of (well written) narrative.

Nice work! I really liked the art. I think some basic shooting sfx would've gone a long way for adding some polish, and a dash mechanic (or something or the sort) would've helped the pacing a bit.

Thank you for the game!! Really liked it. I did miss some sound effects, though. I loved the fact that I could destroy enemy particles with my own, it was very satisfying to discover it by accident.

I enjoyed this. The art style was applied consistently and looked good. I got into the industrial/dread musical score. Controls and kiting felt good. I liked the writing/foretelling for later affects. The jam's theme was applied nicely (no sight at the start). It also set up the later modifications (lungs etc). Nice job :)

Very enjoyable with a good level of polish, I made it to what I think was the first boss! A few notes:
- Enemy spawns in the center of the room seemed a bit abrupt, and at first it felt almost unavoidable to occasionally take a hit from them. Eventually I learned to stand at the edge when finishing the least enemy so I could dodge the next spawn, but some sound design here would help a lot with players anticipating new enemies.
- I really liked the simplicity of the interface. It was immediately clear what everything represented and when powerups were available.

Loved this game. The lore was excellent, and the gameplay was fun, even if the font size was a little small.

A nice small game guys, I really liked the ambience right off! Only for the first play i could not find the eyes in the darkness I was looking for another doorway in the second room haha. Overall great atmosphere and a story, a nice little entry!

I have to say: I love when people combine simple pixel art graphics with cool lighting. Well done and five stars on graphics for this. :)
