The Lonely Planet by Sam Dower

[raw]
made by Sam Dower for Ludum Dare 45 (JAM)

You wake on an island, with NOTHING but your wits about you, though even that isn't looking like much. And of course, no tutorial. Can you escape the planet?

I love the aesthetic of this game! Walking around the planet feels really cool. The swing speed of the tool was a bit too slow for me, but I still enjoyed my time playing.

I really liked how the planet works, going around it and not falling, if worked further, this could end in an cool game, even if i have finished it in like, 10 minutes or less, i'd like to see how it would end if had enough time to get somewhere. I think that the thing that i really missed about it was an music and for, well, you know, like you said, no tutorial. Keep going and good luck!

Overall I liked the game, it was fun. I end the game yeee! lol. I like the concept is a small crafting game with a lot of charm. The game mechanics are what you would expect from a game of this type you can gather resources and craft other objects. I liked this part of the game I was always wondering what could you craft next. The world map is cool I like that you had 2 different zones but I would like to see a more dynamic world with more element. I think with more different types of objects the world with me much richer. But With I understand this is a game jam and time is very limited =P. The gameplay is good but I think you could have more fluid gameplay with you increase the animation speed of using the pickaxe. I really like the art style you use I am a fan of low poly so this was cool for me and for shore a reason why I played the game in the 1st place. Nice game good job. =)

Hi guys for starters nice game and good job =D i liked it ofcourse i wish there was more things i could do but this is a game jam so its understandable that there arent more. I realy like the fact that it was on a small planet and you could feel yourself going around the planet its a cool take on these types of games!. if i could give a tiny and simple advice make a small timer for the health bar of things to dissapear after a while of no interaction with them, couse otherwise it gets a bit crowded xD

I had a blast playing it, it was really great, maybe add some HUD indication after you execute an action once (like the C for crafting) otherwise really good

### Nice game, I enjoyed playing it!

I admire how many 3D models you managed to squeeze into this game!

I found a small bug, which makes the game unplayable on widescreen monitors (I have 21:9 aspect ratio). Unfortunately, the UI is not scaled properly so you cannot see your inventory and recipes.

After I changed my default monitor to 16:9 aspect ratio, everything was good and I managed to finish it without any problems
