A Few Bad Acres by Nate Kling

[raw]
made by Nate Kling for LD34 (COMPO)
A Few Bad Acres is a sobering game about the hardships of farming in a land overrun by ravenous wolves and their relentless wolven compatriots. Keep the wolves from scarfing down your cattle while trying to find precious time to grow food to feed your family... all before nightfall.

Life is not easy in wolf territory. (Probably not the best place to have settled down actually)

-There's a known bug in the webplayer version that causes the game to turn black part way through. If you can I recommend downloading and playing the PC download version.

Other than the bug where the screen turned black, I thought the game was really fun.

Pretty neat! I would not last long as a farmer :(

Got the bug where the whole screen turned black a few times though, so couldn't play very far unfortunately :(

Very neat concept! I also love the graphics!

I died a lot the first few times, but after I found out I could push the cows it made sense.
A more gentle difficulty curve would have been nice.
I also pushed the cows into the wolves way too many times while running towards a wolf.
With some tweaking this could be really good!

Also please make the frame for the embedded URL a tad bigger, so there are no scrollbars.

Well done!

Nice idea with hectically exchanging tools. I found it too slow-paced though. True farmer's life maybe :D

Nice idea! Also I can say that the black screen bug was caused (almost sure) by the wolf biting a cow.
