Graphics and sound was nice, not a huge fan of the gameplay (I feel I kind a already seen it before) but the all game is well done.

Wow very innovative, takes a lot of hand eye coordination to do well.

Game felt smooth and well done. Interesting take on a tetris / platformer. Maybe would be fun as a local co op if the fast place was a bit slower.

Dude, this game is freakin epic. I really loved it, but I'm afraid to report that I'm too trash to make it onto the leaderboard. I think the enemies are a tad too fast to spawn, and I often couldn't get out of their way. Crazy level of polish though, good job team!

Nice art + sound, it's impressive that you built out the tutorial and leaderboards that much within the time limit, nice job!

This is an awesome idea "What if tetris was a 2D platformer?" Really clean exciting active gameplay very polished very juicy, I really dont have any feedback except maybe made the difficulty curve start lower for people who aren't as intense of gamers, but really solid entry well done.

Very sweet idea, neatly implemented. The gameplay is really tense and I for one am a sucker for this kind of multitasking stress test in a game. Graphics and sound are pretty sweet, too. I'm really fond of the different enemy types. And boy, that cover art!

Very well done, I love it

Really stellar entry, great take on tetris, very good concepting. sprites look good, animations are crunchy. Big thumbs up!

A very nice arcade tetris platformer game. The squirrel looks cool and the sounds are nice. To hardcore for me to "own" the leaderboards. Also a double jump could work in this games because sometimes there's a bunch of enemies in the way and not a block even close. Anyways nice looking and feeling game!

Wow, thats really a great arcade game with a very good use of 2 diferent mecanics that really worked so well here (platform and tetris-like puzzle). Had a lot of fun testing here and has a lot of challenge into getting a high score! This has potential to became a very good game if you wish to continue this project! Awasome job you all!

The idea is really great ! But the game is very unfair spawning directly on player and ennemies can spawn on block and drop on you haha

I love this game! First off, the graphics and sound are really good. It does take tetris, which I think fits awesomely, and blends it with a sort of platformer, which is a really interesting twist to the mechanics. As mentioned above, I do think the game needs more maneuverability, most of the level design is built upon verticality, so I feel double jump could work. But It was a really fun game!

Really fun and crazy game. I love the graphics and the mechanics. It's really hard, but it's good because have you trapped for a while. The spawinng of enemies could use a improvement.

Had to give you a 5 for fun on this. I've been playing it for ages (currently second on the leaderboard - but I know that won't last). Nothing to do with the theme, but a fun game with nice progression with mechanics that seem to work well together. The only thing that annoyed me a little is when things spawned too close for you to have any chance to react. Also, quite often I killed a bunch of baddies by dropping a block on them, intending to immediately then jump into the block - only for more baddies to instantly spawn on top of it. This meant that it was no longer safe to jump onto it, and if another block were dropped on them you've immediately made a wall to high to jump onto. Also, I found a bug - guess how I got this:

A fun mechanic, I am not sure how it related to the theme, but as a game it was was enjoyable and well polished!

@space-wumpus Thank you so much for the feedback. I completely agree with your points made. There is a sweet spot with crushing enemies right when they spawn versus just before they spawn. So sometimes you will think you crushed them but were just early, this then pushes them upwards onto the block so that they don't die inside of a fallen block (otherwise you could just keep placing blocks where they are spawning and then they would die inside of fallen blocks). I believe this is the issue you mentioned with them spawning instantly. I'm not sure the best way to improve this in the future but open to ideas!

That is also a rare bug you found. I am not sure how to replicate that but if it happens again, it would be great if you could send a screenshot of the console window in your browser so I can better understand.

Also, awesome score! I'm nightfire on the leaderboards so you have me beat. I'll have to improve :p

really cool that you have a high-score, it makes it a lot more motivating to keep on trying to push for a higher individual score, even though I never managed to break 2000 points. I have never seen this idea before and found it very innovative. Everything is well polished and coherent, and the characters are really cute. Well done!

Very impressive! The game is really fun. I appreciate the tutorial. The art and animation are very good as well. Enemies often spawn unnoticed though. Great job!

@shredmer I'm fairly sure I triggered the bug by dropping lots of blocks as fast as possible (safe to do whilst you are in 'spirit' form!). I think the problem happens when a second row of blocks is cleared before the update for clearing the first row has finished.

This was a really cool idea, and a fantastic execution! Game looks and plays great!
It was a little annoying that the blocks spawned in random columns (and thus I couldn't spam it when trying to say, build a staircase), but at the same time, it adds to the challenge.
I also feel like this works easily as a 2 player experience, with one person controlling the squirrel and the other controlling the blocks, so that's cool- I can already play like that, out of the box, thanks to the split controls.
Fantastic work!

This was great! Keeping track of both the Squirrel and the blocks got pretty intense as the game went on, and the fact that you have a leaderboard for it going really adds to the game. Made me wanna go back and play it a few times just to see if I could climb that ladder.
Also works as a 2-player game too! Though I found balancing the two controls myself a lot more enticing. Solid work and really good game, well done!

I never thought Tetris can be so engaging  Nice twist on an old game! The game feels fun and addictive. I felt that the hitboxes were a little bit "inaccurate", but maybe I just was not able to properly time my jumps in the hit of battle.
