This is pretty fun. the floaty jump is actually quite fun to try to solve these kind of puzzleish platforming.

i quit playing when the red heat seeking things came out cause the floaty controls kept putting me right into them. but i guess im on the fence where i dont like them.

The controls feel slippery, but it is ok since the platforms are really large. This game reminds me a lot of Ninja (or I think it was just called N). Thanks for the game it is a good one.

Nice game, feels like super meat boy! The theme is not super visible but still a great job!

The evolving level concept was pretty cool and fun.

However, the player spawned off-screen for me and it was very frustrating to have to negotiate with slippery movement to safely get it on-screen. On lvls 6+ I was pretty much spawncamped in this way and spent most of my time malding off-screen.

Audio/visual feedback on respawning would've helped avoid the above situation, though the spawn should've been on-screen in the first place.

Crazy difficult and strangely addictive. Managed to beat it but had over 60 deaths. Would've loved to see the final count! Great game and level design!

@corrade @jcmonkey can you guys please tell me the resolution of your screens? I believe this is an issue with scaling cropping part of the screen.

This is just a really good game like SMB

The red orbs need some inertia to their movements, so dodging them becomes a humanly possible option.

@czorio about that, every game I do is usually very very VERY hard, I enjoy playing hard games, and I enjoy making hard games, since the game is kinda short I feel like the added difficulty is adequate, if more people disagree however I might consider changing my ways so thank you for the feedback!

@pranavftw This was one of my main inspirations, i really like that game.

I enjoy the simple graphics and the sound effects the most from this game. The character maybe jumps a little too high and fast and you kinda slide over the terrain, which makes it feel like you don't have full control of the character. The levels got progressively harder and it was interesting enough for me to keep going until the end.

When I read "Tom is Lonely" I immediately expected a puzzle-platformer similar to "Thomas was Alone", but what I got was completely different!

The controls took some time to get used to, as they are very different from what we're used to seeing in other platforming games. However, once I played with them a while, it was actually quite fun trying to slither my way through the projectiles mid-air!

I managed to beat all ten levels, but I wish it had some kind of "end screen", so I could tell you how many deaths it took me - once I reached the end it immediately went to the main menu and I couldn't see the death counter anymore.

@apace yes, the number of deaths display was an overlook on my part, you can go around it by clicking start again, this will take you to the last level and you can check the number of deaths, you can return to the menu by pressing escape. Thank you for the feedback.

The pixel art looks great, I like the death explosion a lot. Sadly, the floaty controls didn't feel challenging but rather frustrating to me.

Oh my god... That lvl 9 ... I died like 200 times or more.. I liked so much the mechanic and the sounds, and how you improved the difficulty of the level. Nice job, so fun to play it!

Really hard yet really addictive, would definitely pay money if it is worked on a bit more, like randomly generated levels? Better art? Unique mechanic maybe?

Hi, your game is so cool, it's a real funny "Die and Retry", i beat it with only 68 deaths and i'm pretty proud of that ahah
For your next project, be aware about the controls ! I don't know if it's the same for others but i have to press the arrows key with strength for initiate the movement to the character, it's a little bit frustrating when you hit the last 5 levels hehe.
Well, your completely into the theme, i appreciate the minimalist sounds and graphics, all works well ... i can just wish you all the best for the future :)

The death effect was pretty neat. Unless you were going for that effect I would say the controls are too floaty but that's almost every LD platformer out there so no stress :)

This is really good! It's challenging and the steady addition of more elements makes you rethink what you were previously doing. I agree the homing projectiles are a little frustrating, but that makes it more satisfying when you figure out a way around them. Nice work!

My screen is 3:2 and I had the problem with the left and right edges being cut off. But only just barely, I was still able to beat the game. Game felt pretty good otherwise! The minimal graphics are perfect for a game jam. Floaty but still pretty tight controls were nice. Fun few minutes, thanks!

Game is cool, but hard at the moment where you have 4 laser blasts!!! Graphics are cool, death effect too :D

Definitely challenging, but rewarding to beat it! I liked how each iteration of the level intentionally took away the "easy" way to beat it, forcing you to find another solution.

The same level with different design ideas, which is simple and interesting. The control of player is quite unique and I assume that a more smooth contorl would be better. GJ anyway!

Super challenging, but super fun! Even though the grpahics are simple, they work really well and gives it an arcade feel, especially with the addition of sound, great job!
