The Lost Flagship is a small turn-based 4x (kinda) strategic game.

You're a captain of one of the biggest starships ever made, a great Flagship of Earth... of the past. Now your ship is a "flying museum". Days of great glory are gone, and your crew is bringing you coffee and eating dust. But one day strange accident brought you to an unknown place, a strange galaxy. You found yourself in the middle of Great War between... um, humans and humans?! Where did they came from in non-explored sectors?!

You're alone - no support fleet, no great armadas of star destroyers and giga-cannons. All you've still got is your guts and honor. Build an unstoppable army from scratch, turn the tides of war, solve the mistery of hidden civilizations, and... return home, at last.

N.B. At the time of release, my game had as many bugs as you can imagine. It was kinda "Early Access" game. Basic thing was there after 3 days, but it swarmed with problems. Everything was broken a bit. Nobody could finish the game normaly. So, I've spend a lot of blood and sweat to fix everything I can after release. Now you've got here a "Gold Edition", a bit more playable thing.

Yep, that's not fair to make such a number of fixes after release... but I'm here not to win - I just want my game to be played :)

List of bug-fixes you may find here: http://www.madnesstudio.ru/the-lost-ship-bugfixes/

I was impressed by the opening but unfortunately I ran into a bug that stopped my troops from being able to attack.

Well done!

This looks really ambitious for a jam game! I was unfortunately twice unable to get past the first level, first due to a crash and second due to a softlock where an enemy fighter spawned on my beacon and the enemy turn never ended. Looks cool though!

I'm impressed you managed to get this much done in 3 days.
I tried making a tbs once and it took me forever.

I did like the artstyle and the music, it did definitely fit well. But i had a crash pretty early on after just getting to try the fighting mechanics. But i did enjoy the game, dialogue and fighting despite not being the biggest 4x fan.

@fatsheep, @bassguitarbill, @raphiell, sorry for the problems with my game, guys. I'm still in the middle of fighting some nasty bugs like softlocks. But I'm so glad that you've already played my game. Thank you!

Cool strategy, especially if you did it alone). And for the first song, I generally read the dialogue as a rap. And yes, you probably forgot to put Loop in the sound during the battle, because the music ended and no longer repeats, sort of. In general, good luck in GameDev. It was fun to play.

This game deserves more ratings! It's a lot of fun once you get the hang of the rules, and the mechanics seem pretty balanced: you need to maintain a delicate balance of moving ships, building new ships, and attacking. The start screen looked great. Dialogue was pretty funny, too. Great job!

The Gold version of the game is seriously impressive. The fact that you were able to do so much in so little time is astounding. The gameplay works and flows well, with a medium amount of difficulty. The music works well with the game, and the graphics complement the story of the game very, very well. I really enjoyed playing this. Congratulations!

Holy moly. This is a beast. This is quite a lot of features for a jam game. Nice!

Excellent game! Reminds me of Red Alert and Westwood games in general. The epic military music kept me in there for longer than I expected. That's a lot of ships too! Not everything is balanced and really challenging but I don't think it's really needed for such solo games and it's still very enjoyable. The story is nice but the text is full of typos and such. If you want to bring this game further, I'd consider making some corrections on the text. Ask for help if needed. Maybe it's a bit too long too? Idk. I like text in games, I enjoyed the story, and I read it all, but it was a bit painful sometimes. Anyway great game and I'll make sure to try it again if you keep updating it! Awesome work.

Edit: I see you have a VR headset on your profile pic! Our game is VR and nobody can play it. Do you have an Oculus Quest maybe? We can also make a Rift or Go build.

@spacemonkey Thank you very much for such a comment! :)
I'm happy that I've finally made something like old strategies.

Yes, typos are my great problem. I'm not a native English-speaker and does not even have one between my friends. So, that was a great pain. If you may help, I'll ask for some from you later :)

Yes, amount of text is quite enormous!) It's because there was an another, last level. A Grand Finale, with 3 more ships to build (you may find renders in "Bonus" folder), with a Heretics army to fight, and with a big PLOT TWIS w/ cliffhanger at the ending scene. All that text was for it. I've already got dialogs, ships, some of map props - but I've got no more time to finish it well. So, all of that stuff was cut, and... without a shocking ending, my scenario text loses half of a meaning ;(

P.S. I would gladly play your game in VR... and it's a Vive on my avatar, but... I don't owe this device :(
It's quite expensive for my country - so, that's a photo from Comic-Con when I tryed it a bit.

Really good game, it just lacks of some sound design but the grpahics are great and I liked the story telling. I'm not really into strategy games but the game design seems also good. Well done!
