Ludum Lux by Joe Miller

[raw]
made by Joe Miller for Ludum Dare 45 (COMPO)

Ludum Lux is grid based puzzle game where each stage you start with nothing and need to light all of the tiles up. The symbols on the tiles note which surrounding tiles they effect. There are 20 different stages in the jam version, can you beat them all?

Nice puzzle game. I like that the concept is simple, but the puzzles are tough and can't easily be brute forced (the ones I got just seemed to "click" after I thought about them). The minimalist black-and-white graphics feel sort of retro, and the firework and level loading effects are slick.

Nice work! The X blocks add some difference and innovation on the gameplay. Early levels are not hard and only + blocks are used in most cases. But later levels start to be challenging and have more fun.

Level 12 was so hard. :O Good game! I found myself clicking randomly through a lot of this until I found the right combo.

I had a nice time playing and figuing how to solve the puzzles. great level design. still, feels like it does not fit the theme that much... or maybe it is just me.

It took me a few rounds to figure out some basic moves, then it was smooth-ish sailing :)

I think it would be nice to have an indicators where the points were placed on the grid. The game shows what has been 'filled' with white but I think it doesnt show where the central point was placed.

Very clever entry. I had a bunch of fun playing that and now my brain also hurts a tonne! Took a little while to understand the concept, but once you understand how to play it becomes quite addicting!
