* DEVELOPMENT NOTES*

This is a game jam game... software is prototype quality, but it works! There will probably be minor bugs. We opted out of the "Graphics category" because we used some base assets to start the game as well textures built into unreal engine. Most of the assets have been changed beyond recognition except for some of textures. Some sound assets were used for sound fx, however they have been cut up, changed, pitched and modified beyond recognition. Music is all original. If you find issues or have questions, feel free to contact us: info at virtuaworlds.io.

* KNOWN ISSUES *

-Sometimes the bucket flies into the air, but we reduced it and we're pretty sure this is a feature now because its kind of fun.

-Sometimes the background music doesn't stop when the game over music plays. (much more rare now)

-Performance could be better, but this is basically it for the game jam version.

-Black textures on some low spec machines (still playable)

very simple game mechanic, add some polish and you have a classic fun game. i really enjoyed this and i was very impressed at how polished it was. the images do not do the game justice. thanks for making this

OMFG this was so cool, because it has everything I love about games: retro visuals, retro music and weirdness. Many more points for even adding a PS1-like cover for it.

By the way, you should enable voting for graphics. The graphics are good for the retro feel. <3

Presentation and aesthetic were amazing! I'd take a look at volume levels and a way to quit the game, and its done!

OMG, this is the coolest game I've played in the LD46. Stunning graphics, Hyper-casual gameplay-all this creates an atmosphere of hell. P.S. involuntarily shook his head under the beats of the track-the music is very cool.
Great job, guys!

Amazing entry real polish, simple concept but crazy!!! I love all, maybe a bit repetitive after a long time but its a scoring game that's normal.![TTT.jpg](///raw/bc3/41/z/323a4.jpg)

Very nice game !!! I loved a lot the art style, it remined me a lot of the PS1 era, which is really cool !
And it is very satisfying to feed the devil ! :D

The only little criticisms, that I can make is that the UI was too "clean" for the art style, I think that a more pixelated one would fit better. And I found the game a little too easy at the beginning, it takes time to get harder, so I think that the difficulty should kick in sooner.

Overall, very nice work !

You guys absolutely nailed the PSX / 90s-edge aesthetic. That's a great accomplishment. The music and graphics are both incredible! Great job!

Great aesthetics! I like how you tied everything together, from your cover to your menus. One problem, though - the game screen kept blinking white on me. Don't know if this was intentional or not.

The gameplay is simple, but weirdly meditative. Played a couple of times with enjoyment.

Remember the 90's??? This feels like it jumped right out of an old online flash game site from 1999, and that is not a bad thing. The game is straight forward. It's a fair skill based high-score game. Looks good, sounds good, uses the theme well. I do think your game would benefit from little things like different and varied sound effects and possibly some screen shake. Other than that good job.

@sadsmile @splitpainter we turned off graphics rating because according to LD if we used any graphics assets we were supposed to. we did change alot but we were just trying to avoid trouble as it was our first LD!

@aj-jones thanks for the feedback. those are things we're looking to address with a post jam patch very soon. we're also planning a commercial version with expanded features and gameplay.

@brylamare @ROBOWARRIOR1982 thanks for playing guys. we're fairly new to game dev, and it was challenging to even fit in this much gameplay haha. however, we're planning a commercial version with expanded features and gameplay.

@Palvel thanks for the feedback. it's skippable with the mouse, but we ran out of time for everything else haha. we'll be implenting easier skip button or shortening it in a future commercial version.

@wavewava thanks for playing and glad you liked it. that's weird about the flashing... so the whole screen was flashing white? if so, what is your CPU, GPU and OS. we'll look into it!

@CreamyBacon2 @edalbung thanks for the feedback. those were things that we didn't have enough time to tweak, however we're planning a commercial version with expanded features and gameplay.

@hoseccan @krakadushka @adriankrawczyk @thebreakfast thank you so much for the kind words. it means alot and makes it worth not sleeping for the last 2 days! We're planning a commercial version with expanded features and gameplay.

@virtuaworlds, yeah, the whole screen, part by part. I can try to get a screenshot or a gif of it, if you need it!

Was playing on a Win 10 OS, as suggested. Here are my CPU and GPU:

I am afraid - really afraid by this mood when people scream :/

However all is well done with a solid mechanics. The main gameplay is clever, easy to learn, hard to master. I am a big fan of PS1 and I liked your attempt so as to create something similar. Neat. Thank you for your feedback ++
