It felt like a unique world and I think the colour palette really made it pop. The only issues I really had with the graphics was that the blue text colour made it hard to read, however everything else was on point.\n\nThe gameplay was pretty fun, I liked that I had to explore and figure things out on my own, with the NPCs giving hints if I needed them. However, it was a little annoying to keep having to redo everything when you run out of time, but at least you find out the reason in the end and it's not too much of a slog to repeat the actions.\n\nOverall, well done! Retrospective is a fun game, and I am hoping you add even more to this world in the future.\n\n*~Jack Soulie~*","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"lumue","author_uid":1060515,"time":"2020-10-23T13:25:59Z","epoch":1603459559,"modified":1603459582,"text":"Cool game! Theme was used pretty well, though having to start over periodically combined with how open the gameplay is at the start was a little frustrating (ie, just having to memorize what to do and which arbitrary places to go isn't super fun beyond the initial exploration phase.) The story and concept were cool though and I enjoyed progressing through it. I think I finished it by getting to the person on the upper floor, but the game didn't explicitly end so I'm not sure if there was more to do. Love the graphical style. Most games I play for like 10 minutes and then stop, but something about this one made me stick it out until the end. The music is really good. Neat little puzzles - I made the mistake at the beginning of not really listening to the pyramid guy at the beginning so it took me ages to figure out what to do with the key, but I got it eventually. I wish there was some way to find out what the answer to the carnival puzzle was before going there - maybe the arrangement of boxes in the basement or something on the wall in the bar. The time loop mechanic in the game is effective because you don't have nearly enough time to figure everything out in one round, and it is fun to learn something and then do it super fast the next time.
