Not sure how it relates to the theme.
Specific things that could be improved:
- The audio talks about being near a black hole but the sky contains the earth? Maybe a more obviously foreign planet would be good to.
- It's easy to look the wrong way in the airlock and look at the wrong door, maybe some sort of basic decoration on one end of the corridor
- Couple of cases of z-fighting (two triangles being co-planar)
- Try to avoid 100% black rooms makes it difficult to know whether you are looking up or horizontally.
I enjoyed the experience.
If you are using the flash light inside the base, you are missing the text overlay (you can't see it).
Great job, good luck!
I had a weird issue with lighting: basically the light position wasn't synced with the earth (i'm assuming that the earth is the object giving light), so i was a bit puzzled when i saw light rays coming through the window without an actual source. Maybe it was just my pc tho :)
I would have enjoyed even more abstract scenes.
It's always great to see riginal experiments during ludum dare. Thanks for sharing this little game!
The game didn't really hit the theme, but I see how it could. If you are developing this further, the mood would benefit from having a little more humanity in the scene. Something small and routine, like a coffee cup.
wonderful audio component, a little mesmerizing atmosphere and great graphics!
