But after that, I really enjoy the game, it's quite inventive and the graphics are cool. It's a good concept, you should push it further if you have time. Well done !
I thought it was quite a clever puzzle mechanic and wanted to really settle in to figuring out the levels! Pity the time limits are so short, it meant I felt pretty rushed. I feel like the core puzzle has enough interest and challenge to stand on it's own and could do without the time pressure.
Moving the camera around felt like it hurt more than helped, i guess because the time limit meant I needed to spend time on moving the ducky, not the camera. Also there are some angles / positions where it's really tricky to get the arrow to appear / work.
Overall, cool jam!
The addition of a timer was brilliant! Felt super frantic and exciting, which took me by surprise and I enjoyed it a lot.
My only complaints is the puzzle difficulty felt a little unfair - usually it felt like I only lost 'cos I got a sudden crazy hard level after a string of easier ones. I saw the star spawn inside a wall once, too, which I think made it impossible?
Second, I found few game braking glitches.
1. You can push star into the block

2. You can keep playing after time passed.
Side note: animation of the wave could have been way prettier than it is now, more aligned and smooth, even using just DOTween :)
Cheers!
On the third time tutorial was a little disappointing, but I like the idea ) Good job!
Well done though, I think it's a cool concept for a puzzle game.
@julienlussiez @squid Right! the instructions could have been clearer. Thanks for the feedback.
@thornduck @r3l0ad1 @rustim Thanks a lot, I spent so much time trying out ideas. Designing games is hard XD
@mitjmcc Because I haven't seen anyone play my game I was clueless about how unfair the time was  Thanks for letting me know.
@ashashza You made some good points about the view and camera, thank you.
@owen-rees Thank you for the nice words and for the feedback.
@maskrosen Noted. Thanks :)
@nk-x-x Thanks for letting me know about this bug, it really helps.
@zguba I'll check Dotween for the post-jam version. You brought up some good points, thanks a lot.
@sharbelfs Good point for the camera, thank you.
@yolziii Glad, you like the mechanic, and thanks for the feedback.
@add-an-a You are right about the timer! Thank you for the feedback.
@meme-310 Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I think the design could use a bit of work, as a lot of the levels were super easy. A couple ideas could be to add a set number of waves you can make, as I felt that if I made a mistake it rarely went punished, so limiting my resources would be a nice catch. Also, I never found the shark to be particularly threatening, it only killed me once because I was taking ages to look at the level and it spawned super close. Also, I'd speed the timer up, I didn't once feel like I was being rushed by it.
But, I'm gonna be honest, puzzles are hard, I've always struggled with them, so good job for getting a solid foundation for a good puzzle game! Give it a bit of work after the jam and I would love to play more!
@despdair Thank you, yes I wish I had music. For the levels, they are randomly generated with seeds. I can influence the layout and obstacles occurrence. First, it layout the water tiles, then the obstacles. When laying obstacles it unchecked spots already taken so other objects cannot spawn there. Then runs a few functions to make sure that it doesn't completely close off levels or spawn stuff on top of each other. After that, it spawns game entities like the player, sharks, star.
@gamer-fates Thanks a lot for your comment. Happy that you enjoyed it.
@despdair No it doesn't, sorry. The way I set it up it is rarely unsolvable though. Because of the few functions, I mentioned earlier. But, I'm sure but it can happen on later levels if the obstacle rate becomes too high. Thanks for asking, now I know I have more stuff to think about.
@zaiuspanda Thank you for your comment. The difficulty increases bit by bit as you progress through the levels. If you can get a 100's+ score the game will become quite challenging. Less time, more obstacles, the shark will be closer.
I have got a texture issue, but I still enjoy the game.
You should improve the GUI.
Good job.
@duck-reaction Thank you. I'll look into it.
@cptn-b You can create it by following this tutorial https://twitter.com/i/status/925036278005018624
I just had a problem in my game, where the shark and the star were in the same space. Still, the game is funny and cool, Great job :)
Nice entry all in all. Good job!
@duke You made a good point about showing/knowing how far the wave would push. I should do something about that. Thanks for your comment.
@retrome Good suggestions, thanks for the feedback.
@minnka Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.
