Five Keys: Break The Loop - (for LD47) by Fatal-Exit

[raw]
made by Fatal-Exit for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

All game programming, art & animation, music & audio done by myself. I used Construct 3, Aseprite, Tilesetter, Affinity Designer, Fl Studio & ChipTone in the process of making the game. https://youtu.be/u38gFpGP0OA

Controls: WSAD or Arrow Keys - Move L&R/Jump/Drop Down(through platforms)

Space can also be used to jump. If you use space, run the game in fullscreen.

To break the cycle you need to find the 5 keys. One is hidden in each level. Sometimes you need to come back in another cycle to be able to find the keys you are missing. Once all 5 are located, a secret end portal will open, and the cycle can be broken.!

This game was incredibly fun! I wish there were more than five keys, it was so fun! Good job!

This was a lot of fun. Obviously, jam time limits this, but this would be great with a lot more levels. Maybe with the ability to warp between (so you didn't have to hit every single level every time, which was fine with 5, but might be too much if there were like 20 levels or something).

I had a lot of fun. At first I got a little but confused because I didn't read the instructions. Really good idea! Good job!

This is everything a jam game should be: a cool idea, fleshed out enough for a proof of concept, leaving us wanting more! My main complaint is that the controls are a touch floaty, but the game was still really enjoyable.

Great level design. The animated robot was also quite good. Nice platform puzzle game.

Wow, I love the idea here! Super cool take on the theme, and man, that background music was a bop! Great level design, and I love the artwork for the little robot! Great job all around!

Really cool game, finished in 195 seconds. Really liked your take on the theme and the platforms building on to each other as you collected more keys was a really neat concept. Good job!

Cool idea. I think the idea of building platforms as to not make the game tedious was really smart. Really the only problem I experienced was confusion about the timer. I say you can still have a "it took xxx seconds to finsih the game" but not always at the right hand screen

Besides the controls being a tiny bit "slippery", the game was pretty fun. I really liked the concept and enjoyed playing through it

Really had fun with this one, good work! Controls could be slightly less floaty but enjoyed it a lot.

Seeing the changes in the level design didn't stick out at first but once it clicked is was good fun to get to the last key. Great Design, fun and simple.

Pretty good interpretation of the theme! I enjoyed jumping my way through these levels a couple of times, although the horizontal movement had a bit of drag at the start which made the first few jumps more difficult, but I got used to it. Would've loved to be able to actually go back through the portal instead of just forward, but as it is it feels more loopy :) Good job overall!
