Legacy Looper by BellringerQuinn
Legacy Looper is a 2D avoider game where you avoid everything red while collecting everything green. Every 10 seconds you create a Legacy. A legacy is a recording of your actions for the last 10 seconds that are forever stuck in a loop. Be careful! After a few seconds, legacies turn red; at which point, they are deadly. As you survive longer and longer your legacies will become the biggest detriment to your survival. You may want to be strategic about where you move early on when there are less legacies on screen.

I hope you enjoy this game. I think it is one of the most interesting games I've made so far.

Menu music is catchy though!
From the gameplay video, I have a question : What does hitting green target do ? It seems that it only gets us in danger, but I can't see anywhere a score system ? Or am I missing something ?

If anyone is curious what the issue was, essentially what happened was that I originally developed the game in a higher aspect ratio. Then for whatever reason, when I run the game on a mac (in a browser), the game is properly scaled down in size. When I run the game on Windows in a browser, the game's UI doesn't scale properly so I had another section of my UI that was overlapping the play button. Lesson learned: always develop the game in the aspect ratio you plan to release it in.
Why am I picking up green things again?
Very smooth and polished though, I like it
@rustywolf thanks for your feedback. They definitely do all have predictable AIs; however, since I didn't do anything to make them distinguished from each other that must be why they seem unpredictable. I thought that it wouldn't really matter, but I definitely see your point and will consider making them distinguishable from one another if I make any future updates..
It's simple but very entertaining to play over and over. A thought might be adding lives to keep going since I did not make it very far. Good work!
And yeah, gameplay, but so many people here already said it's absolutely amazing.
Pretty challenging. But I would slow down this game a bit.
Great presentation of jam theme!
It was really challenging. This is the kind of game where you can't stop and always have to play one more round to improve your highscore.
It is amazing how good this game looks with its really simple graphics and great effects (glow, particle systems, death animation, ...).
I also really liked the music and sound effects.
The concept remindet me a bit of our own game, where your actions are recorded as well and your past actions influence your current round.
It would be really cool if you tried it out as well and told us what you think :)
Music is not to my taste but it fits the game very well.
It's an interesting take on the theme. Congrats! I suck at this game ;) but after a while of trying I got to some semi-respectable score
