Help! I Set Off a Bomb! by maxmitchell

[raw]
made by maxmitchell for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

Your friend has built a dangerously powerful time machine. You must use it to go back in time to save his life (and the universe). Fortunately, you know how to press buttons really fast. Unfortunately, you can only go back in time by 60 seconds at a time, and he died 5 minutes ago.

Instructions: 1. Do whatever the command prompt says 2. Do it in the order the command prompt says 3. Don't let the commands pile up 4. Don't run out of time 5. And for the love of god. . .don't forget to pump the Time Pressure up or you'll go blind

Should be a piece of cake!

Note: This game has multiple stages. Go back in time far enough, and you can win!

Funny and super fun. Red and orange buttons are a little too close for my eyes. Great stuff!

This game was really quite fun! The music was intense and I really felt like I was defusing a bomb where one mistake could cost me all my progress. One suggestion I have is when the stack piled up too much the top command would leave the screen and you could no longer see it, so that’s just a small bug if you let it pile up too much. Overall great game!

Cool game, made it through on the second playthrough. Liked that you had to pump up the pressure to get time away from the actual task, giving it a bit more hectic sense.

I guess it adds up to the stress, but i would have liked it to automatically sense keyboard presses, like numpad/digits in the pin section and letters in the password section, only using mouse for color and pressure.
Felt a little annoying when starting to type but the field wasn't highlighted. Depending on what feel you want ofc.

Graphics are simple and understandable. Had fun!

The basic gameplay is solid and I really enjoyed the SFX/music/art assets

Fun game, great job. :) I love the music and the humor is good. Really love how the time machine gets "disarmed" at the end. Orange and red are way too similar. On my first orange prompt I pressed red thinking it was correct, then later on I pressed orange and still failed which lead to some confusion. I can only assume I perhaps ran out of time and didn't realize it?

I didn't realize the pump until after I won, so it doesn't seem that important? ..And I just now realized that that's why I had a hard time telling the colors apart, because it desaturates the screen. That's not immediately obvious to the player, and I don't recommend that for people that have vision issues. I don't and I still had difficulty, I imagine it's so much worse for someone that's colorblind.

Wow that was such a cool entry. Made me think a little bit about Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. Gameplay felt good, artwork was nice to look at. Only gripe was that the numbers on the keypad were a bit hard to read, would have liked a bit more contrast there. Even the balancing of the difficulty was on point: succeeded on the last level at 00:13 from the end. THE RUSH!!! Well done!

Cool concept and implementation of the theme! I liked the art and sound design. It was a little frusttrating choosing the correct color (there were somo colors really similar!). Overall pretty good!

That was a cool idea to run with the concept. Challenging enough to keep me on my toes (the music did its part too!), but not hard enough to be frustrating.
The one thing i would have liked would be to not have to click the text input every time i had to enter a passcode.

This was fun! Reminded me a lot of keep talking and nobody explodes. I'd suggest making the colors stand out a bit more from each other, especially for color blind people (or also put letters on them to get this: "Press button Green B).

Wow, why does it have so little ratings?! I loved your game. Loved the concept and the music. Loved how it required reflex and quite a lot of thinking to get it done. Yeah a great entry! Sorry I don't have a lot of feeedback but nothing bad really popped up while I played, so yeah, only words of praise :)

Nice job, I really liked it. Definitely one of the better games I've played in the jam so far. The "blind" effect maybe could have been a bit more powerful, as it didn't really make too much of a difference to me unless it got all the way down. It took me one failure to figure out what was going on, but after that I managed to finish it. The main stumbling block I had on the first round was how to submit the numeric entry item... I didn't see the bottom-right button for a bit. I imagine this game would probably cause quite a bit of issues for someone that is colorblind though.
