You're alone on a planet. Aliens surround you.

And they're adorable!

Run around the critters to get them stuck in your lasso. You can sell them to upgrade your movement speed and lasso, or hold onto them for "research." Either way, your boss isn't letting you blast off for home until you've found them all.

This 2D puzzle sidescroller was created in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 47, theme: Stuck in a loop. All art, music, and non-code assets were created from scratch by our team of seven.

This game is known to lag in web browsers on slower computers. The bugfix version reduces the lag.

Great game! Just became a little confuse with the collisions when trying to lasso a alien ponygirafe and it pushed back

This is pretty fun. I like the lasso mechanic and the challenge of capturing specimens that way. I couldn't get the Q to work to quickly snap back to my home (I seem to recall that I could do that) so that made it a bit tedious. Nice puzzle too.

Lasso mechanic is quite good. I think that is a solid base for a larger game

@mikesalyh There's a download link now!

@terryg I fixed a compiler error that was keeping the text from showing up that would explain the purpose of Q. Didn't realize Unity can StreamReader in engine but not in builds. Thanks for playing!

I really like the overal feel of the game, however sometimes it's quite hard to capture stuff when you're colliding with the animal and just moving it forward

That game looks like a lot of work!!
Lot of beautiful sprites, really cool pixel arts.
The poor specimens are crying in their cage :'''(

Also nice catch on the theme, original interpretation.

I feel sad for the creatures. Great graphics, music and sounds. You're title gave me emotionnals vibes, really have some sadness and wanted to go back home.
I didn't get the mecanic how to sell the creatures and what are the benefices form research.

A really solid entry, everything seems very polished. Cool graphics, enjoyable music and the bridge puzzle mechanic was nice introduced through the gameplay.

The only thhing I had a small issue with was the keyboard controls - but I imagine the game would be perfecetly suited to gamepads.

Interesting idea! I didn't like the controls though - using space and movement keys together was iffy to draw the lasso - often I would draw the lasso incorrectly. The collision with the sheep (?) also caused me to sometimes push them out of the lasso. Loved the graphics, music and cute sound effects.

The theme is well used, the music and the graphics are really cool, and the general idea is fun, but the character is a bit slow and it makes some part of the game a bit frustrating to navigate.
It's a solid entry tho, so great job!

What a cheerful little game! I liked that you were building a bigger adventure than just a few menutes of action, but I have to admit I got bored when trying to capture the big chicken. I think it would have helped if I'd always had a quick travel back to the ship and then I could use the shortcuts to get back where I was. Now it felt like a too big commitment to walk back to my ship. I was also wondering if I should be saving my animals for something instead of selling them. Like maybe I could ride the purple horse?

The game felt a little tedious, especially because most of it was spent navigating the map with a painfully slow walking speed. An instant recall back to base would be nice. On a positive note, the idea is quite innovative and the game as a whole has plenty of potential. The art is really neat and gives off somewhere between NES and SNES vibes. Also, the sound effects done by mouth killed me lmao. Overall, well done!

This game is amazing! Very cute :) I really love the music, it's fun and fits well. I'd turn down the sound effect that happens when you capture a creature by a bit - it's pretty loud compared to the rest of the game imo. Art is nice and consistent too.
