Chuck(she/her) In A Hoop is a game about the little chicken called Chuck. Chuck got stuck in a hoop again. Maneuver Chuck through the levels to the end to free her from the tire. Chuck is equiped with legs for running and jumping, wings for another jump and of course, his special dash abillity. Also he can slow down time.

How To Play

  • W,A,S,D and Arrow Keys for moving
  • Space to jump and double jump
  • Left Shift to dash
  • T to slow down time
  • R reset the current room

Wow, you misgendered Chuck! Not cool!

Fun little platformer. The controls feel a little iffy and I don't think it's intended that you can run up walls, but the fart sounds make up for it. Cool interactions with the environment as well.

By the way, how did you make the chicken sound effects? Do you have a coop or did you synthesize them somehow?

Enjoyed it although the controls were a bit difficult to master. I LOVED your take on the theme....very creative. Also the sound effects....oh man....worth every minute just for those! Well done..

hmmm, nice game. came to the level with two boxes that was high up in the air. after the chimney part or whatever its called. i managed to kick the box into the spawn point of the chicken and the box never respawned.

Lol, some rough edges, but I love it! Chicken premise, amazing. Random eggs, perfection. Surprise fart, genius. I like the animation and art a lot! Definitely the level design and gameplay seemed a bit hard sometimes though.

@indigo Nah man, i was lucky to find some sounds online. The only thing i did was the egg sound. And dont ask^^

This game is wild, and I enjoyed the wierdness a lot. I think the things that would improve it most would be tightening up the physics and gameplay so it's a bit less chaotic and having continuity between screens, as it's currently a bit disorienting.

I ended up giving up on the level with the moving hoop and a lot of spikes.

@mrhthepie ah yes. You described every other level^^. Try is out again if you like to. The levels appear in a random sequence and make sure to use the time slow.

it was too hard for me to beat (I'm not that good at games in general) but still fun!
loved all the chicken sound effects and the rainbow jump trail thing

Very cool physics in the game and I love the slow down time ability. I think that there's a puzzle in there that is unbeatable. I did the time slow and I even got really good with the "fart freeze" advanced technique, as I like to call it. I still couldn't beat the one with the fast hoop on top and the box blocking the small passage under. The dash just wasn't long enough to get through and I wasn't able to chain 2 dashes together in slo mo. Maybe I'm missing something, but I would love to have beaten it. Otherwise, great job! I really loved it.

This game is super funny, I love the sounds you put in. The gameplay itself is also pretty fun, though the chicken is a little hard to control. I'd decrease the air friction somewhat and speed up the time slowing ability, I think it slows time down way too much.

This has multiple interesting mechanics, I like it a lot. I always like games that try to do experimental/weird stuff. Unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to get past the level with the really fast hoop and the box on spikes (level 3 I think?). I was able to land on the box by slowing time, but couldn't figure out how to get past the spikes.

Interesting game with a nice idea. I found the controls very hard to use but I do generally struggle with games that require accurate controls.

I loved the humor in this game. The gameplay is wild... But having to use random eggs spawn to activate switches made my day! xD The entry is original, and in some way or another, it fits perfectly the theme! ahahah

Really fun game and loved the take on the theme! As others have mentioned, the controls felt a bit rough around the edges, but overall really fun to play! And of course I loved the sounds!
