The characters attack either way, so why roll the dice?
Maybe they just need a little more feedback...
The graphics are nice, but stylistically they don't fit together.

@lloydcorfex you need to roll the dice to influence the fights.

The graphics are great along with the VFXs, it was well done!
I liked the idea of keep rolling dices and have some more dices coming that you need to choose between.
The game is challenging but maybe a bit redundant as you need to do the same things on and on and maybe because I hate dices (so much luck-based xD)

Anyway, keep up the good work :)

The graphics and sound design for this was really good considering the time limit, I also love the 'paper mario' 2.5D perspective. I will say that maybe you could have added a tutorial screen or something in-between the exposition and game play scenes. but that's a minor note since the overall design as so intuitive and responsive I figured out how to play relatively quick.

Overall great job guys, I'm impressed.

Graphics and music are simply 👌🔥, really liked the physical dies for the combat! With some more depth I could imagine it as a full complete game!

Very nice looking. But I got the feeling, that my interactions dont really add much to what is happening. The heroes just keep attacking with or without me.

The graphics and gameplay are both innovative and stunning. The new take on the rpg combat system is more intuitive and less clunky than older more traditional combat systems. Loved it, 10/10 would play again.

@kevin-meissner Without doing anything, you are at at heavy disadvantage and will lose. You will need to influence the battles with your dices.

@harry-alissavakis Glad you played it! Your game was really epic.

Great Game!

At times, I couldnt see all the sides of the dice I was choosing, so maybe some sort of click-and-drag rotation would be nice. Also I couldnt always see the dice when they landed on the ground.

LOVED the graphics, the drawn characters went surprisingly well with the 3d background.

Well done!

Would be nice to have a real way to know what all the dice do and a global coolodwn, there isn't much choice moment to moment than just click the available die

Graphics were done well, it was a overall fun game. i like the passive fighting mechanic with the dice it's definitely unique to me personally the overall lighting was quite nice, simple but it wasent to intense but it gave the game a (mood).

there was a little bit of initial confusion for me in the begining despite reading the controls i didnt particularly understand what one or two of them actually did by the icons alone. also for the general game loop theres not much feeling of (reward) after each battle even something small i think would add a lot to the game loop.

it's a overall solid expirience though and given the time frame it's done nicely and was quite entertaining.

I really like the colours! I think the characters should be more like the background.. less rough edges and more shadows and depth. Overall very fun, i like turn based games and i also like to play with luck. Good mashup of both!

Also.. i think you have to make a decision.. Either its fast or slow paced.. As in now, it's not flowing too well.. The animations are kinda slow, but the dice is fast as hell.. This one time the dice animation bugged and i threw 2 dices at once, while the animation stood still

I loved the visuals and sound. You all really flexed your art muscles with this.

I was confused as to how the dice influenced the battles. I needed some kind of tutorial because it wasn't apparent how I was playing. Some kind of feedback would be nice. Maybe if there wasn't an auto-attack going on as well? I don't know. Either way, you should be proud of the results!

The Game is good as a whole, but the pacing feels a little off... The dice roll slow, but everything else is quite good. Audio? Amazing. Models? Great. Story? Gets the job done. It's a good game overall, but could use some tweaks to the gameplay formula

Loved it! Couldn't get past what i think is the last round? The one where you fight clones of yourself. I like the combination of RNG and Player Actions :D

The style is great, clever use of sprites to make 3D looking models. Lighting is really well done too ! Thank you for your entry :)

Cool game! I loved the cutscene at the start, I was pretty overwhelmed by all the things thrown at me at once, I didn't know what to do because there was no explanation I didn't know what the dice did and just rolled them all as soon as I could and picked the ones with lots of green, besides that he music and animations were on point! great work!

This looked and felt great, but I could not feel involved. The lack of control and meaningful decisions makes me feel like an observer of the game, not like a player. The more impact the player can have on the world, the better

can only mirror what @loopypicklehead said. The assets are phenomenal!

I was confused how the dice influence the battle though. I wasn't even sure what the symbols on them meant. Maybe a tutorial would clear up these questions?

The game is completely broken on a ultrawide resolution, you should try to make it more responsive.

The art and audio were very impressive for the time given. However the game seemed to play itself for me. I didn't really know what the dice were doing or meant. I was just throwing them as I got them and they would often fall behind the UI so I couldn't tell what happened.

First of all, the art style of the game is exceptional, it fits in really well with the gameplay and overall theme. I was confused about the function of the dice beside the HP one, so some tutorials or hint along the way would've been nice. Also, I didn't find the dice to influence the fight much, though I know how to direct our heroes to a specific enemies instead. Either way, with the given time you guys have, this is really amazing, and with some more tweaks and polishing this game could go a long way. Amazing work!

awersome idea and graphycs, but you can't see it. all gameplay is throwing cubes, as fast as you can. In my opinion dices should be second mechanic, fights should be more alternately, and require hit tactics, like casting right spell on right enemy, or hitting specific creep by specific hero. You have a field full of mind freedome, just use it! Great job!

Great game, very fun to play! This idea definitely has legs and would be awesome to see taken further. I feel I could get quite far with it by just spamming the healing dice, and some of the dice that had 4+ red sides never seemed worth the risk to roll them. A great entry!

I really liked the art style and effects, and the dice mechanic was well implemented. I was not sure what exactly the different dice actually did, but interesting concept that should be fleshed out a bit more!

Wow really amazing graphics and great music! Only a few seconds into the intro and you know you're dealing with a pretty high quality jam game! The gameplay mechanic was quite the interesting spin on cooldown based combat, Well done team!

Interesting concept but I'm not really into the choice of real-time for this kind of game, having some time to prepare the actions and choose the focus is more interesting than just having to throw the dices when the cooldown is ready. Also the effect of each dice/face lacks some feedback.
Great entry otherwise !

I totally agree with @poupi. Perhaps slowing down time would allow the player to strategise a bit whilst still keeping the game realtime. The numbers, sounds, animations and dice don't really represent how impactful a particular dice roll is so you end up just throwing in the dice without much thought. Nice detail though and I like the mood and themeing :)

I didn't like that the Game started right away.

But overall...a nice game. Could've been good to explain how everything works. But nice Artstyle

I should have read the instructions on your page right away. Once I understood the mechanics I found it quite compelling! Really quite nice game. Having different dice to choose from added an element of skill with a nice dash of luck in there. The options of dice could have done with some balancing as I was occasionally offered the choice between two seemingly entirely red dice, which I think is a bad thing? It was a little difficult to tell what the effect icons implied (besides the very clear heal and super heal ones). Stylistically the cowoy and hooded swordsman feel like they're both from the same game, but a very different game to the rest of them. Same goes for the knife lady. But individually the graphics are gorgeous, and I really like the attack animation on the cowboy man especially.

Well done!

Nice music and art style! At first I didn't realize I had to drag the dice to play them and was just panickedly clicking around trying to find out what to do. Most icons on the dice were easy to guess, but to be certain it'd be nice to have a small reference in the "choose dice" screen. At the (I assume final) boss, my dice suddenly disappeared, never came back, and I died, not sure what happened there. Overall a nice entry!
