This is a very cute game. I really like your spin on the restarting/time loop mechanic. Those puzzles really had me thinking.

I really liked your game. It looks really great. The puzzles were good. And the idea was also quite good. Well done. But during my playthrough I found a bug, where you can clip through walls. If you repeatately go up or down and then left or right, next to a wall you can clip through it. When you are in a wall you can even pick it up and place it just like a key. That's kinda funny. :D

You can even go out of bounds....
But yeah. Nice game. Well done

Good work. I like the little detail with the camera shake when walking into a wall.
Music was nicely done and I like the echoeffect when hitting restart a bunch of times :)
Also good work on showing instructions one level at a time instead of having the player to memorize all of them.

The concept is really nice, and... well it's not intended, but it's quite fun to cheat with the wall clipping glitch. The game is quite hard but it's ok for me. Overall it's well done and polished, good job!

While I'm not a huge fan of puzzle games, this game really had be thinking! I stared at my computer screen for minutes to think about possible outcomes and I enjoyed every minute of this brilliantly designed game. It's also impressive that it's your first LD entry, awesome! Player control might be tweaked a bit in order to making gameplay and "failing" faster, other than that, great entry -Keep up your good work!

Very nice visuals and audio! I appreciated how the music also followed the VHS theme, also the rewinding effect is very cool :) Congrats on completing your first LD!

The game was cool! There is a bug where you can walk onto the purple tiles. In the level where you start with 2 green keys, press: left, left, left, up, up. Then you are just walking on purple tiles and can skip half the level :)

Wow nice challenging puzzles. Definitely took a bit of thinking and a few tries to get some of the puzzle. Clever use of the theme as well to add an extra layer to the traditional key/door puzzle games!

very nice game! so much fun to play.

some thoughts:
- the level design is pretty nice, it uses very well the game mechanics
- I wish the hint text would go away after some time or just be more on the background/be less bright.
- It is a little hard to tell what those pink blocks are doing, just by looking at it.
- since you walk so slow it would be nice if the level were smaller to remove needless walking.
- the keys should stand out more than the walls.

I also found the wall bug, needlessly to say that I finish the game! :D

good game, but really could use some smoother feeling movement, some nice pixel art and chill music

Nice concept with the theme. The puzzle are very interesting and not easy. Good Idea the rewind VHS Style. Otherwise I find the movement of the character a bit stiff and slow. The art remind me some old games I played on my Amstrad CPC. With improvement on the art, control and animation, it could be a nice puzzle game! Good job, you two!

Really good puzzler. I also liked the chill music. The jumping back to the start is a nice twist on the theme. Overall really enjoyed playing this one. Pretty difficult though. :-)

I think the overall polish on this game is great and I thought it was a perfect execution of the theme with some innovative puzzling.

Best Bits:
*Perfect execution of the theme
*Great onboarding and difficulty curve
*Innovative mechanic
*Cool VHS rewind visual effect

The only problem I found was that the keyboard sometimes thinks I am double tapping "r" when I wanted to only single tap and I think it would be better to only let the player single tap to move as the game requires some perfect movements to succeed.

Congrats on making an awesome first ludum dare! :)

The main idea of resetting the level is funny (though already used in other games of this edition). The level design is very good. You succeeded in making interesting levels with quite simple game rules. That's one of the hardest thing to do when designing this sort of puzzle game.

The controls are not very well managed. You keep a key pressed, and it acts a first time, then there is a pause, then it acts many times. It's like you type text. But controlling a character in a video game is not supposed to be like text.

The purple square are not explicit enough. You do not know exactly when they start to become blocks. Is it just based on a number of turns, or is it based on your position which triggers their transformation ?
