Something's Changed (Minsk 2118) by Jakob Reborn
Ludum Dare 47 Entry
Kinda went it's own way I guess - probably super tired from 3 day non stop making it Cooler when playing to the rhytm Also follow Yellow and Red Outlines to not get super lost
I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO PLAY PC VERSION (RUNS WAY SMOOTHER)

For this entry I reinterpreted my song Minsk 2118 (Nothing’s Changed). Concept was that in this town/country nothing will ever change, only the technology. So recent events in Belarus made me reinterpret this work, here are the results! There are little neat references to the theme throughout the game.
Controls:
WASD to move
LMB to interact
Bugfix - tinkered with mouse sensitivity and removed pixelation filter for better performance also removed jump.

The music slaps and the visuals are certainly something
I'm not 100% sure what I experienced but keep doin' what you do cause it's working
Not saying all of this to be mean, but I wan't to say that you should focus on core gameplay, basic mechanics, make them work smoothly, and then integrate them into a world like the one you created. Here I feel like you had an idea of a story, a strange universe, which is great, but this can not work, as good as it is, if the gameplay does not. I did not play more that a few minutes though so I might have missed something, but to be honest I did not really want to !
Congrats for making a game alone, and keep on working!
To be true I didn't understand most of the game.
As I understood from your post, thisis your first LD, so congrats :)
Otherwise I agree with @saering . If you can make a core gameplay work, you can brig your ideas to more people. Hope to see your more of your games.
Small tip: ZIP files are easier to extract.
Also since you asked, link to my team's game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/hamster-loop
@overlook-studios - thank you for playing, I wanted to give players as much freedom as possible but that ended up in messing the game systems, like players would do something that I couldn't predict, I tried fixing it by removing an ability to jump but still it's pretty unpredictable
@mikesalyh @denzil-gomes - thank you for playing, audio was supposed to be "stuck in a loop", I tried bugfixing so you can only "flower" one soldier at a time, but still if you get lost or start moving at the beginning of the ascend you can mess up games timing
Thank you all for playing, thanks for the endurance :) Also I tried to play and rate all the games from people in this comment section!
It's a shame, because from what I saw it looks great and gameplay is very unique.
I would love to play it again if it didn't crash.
Definitely interesting
