ABOUT

You play as small limbless robot called Bobo. Bobo just activated for the first time after who knows how long. Scared and alone will have to somehow manage to travel through corridors, pass halls and escape the facility. Empty corridors, empty halls, whole facility abandoned. With nothing in it, except you.

BoBoBot is metroidvanish game. Your task is to collect upgrades which will help you to progress through the level. Your goal is to reach the end of the map.

I like the music quite a lot, it reminds me of the game of my childhood in fact

I had a lot of fun playing your game, a lot of content for a 72h game. Graphics, gameplay, music, every piece of it is nicely done and enjoyable. Great Work !

Bobobot is so cute ! I love his design and animation. The game was a little difficult for me but i'm not very good with plateformer >_> Lot of fun anyway.

My favourite game of the jam so far!. If you added Coyote time and more level I'd easily buy it.

This was really fun. Having made a very similar game for the jam, I can respect the time and effort that goes into making a platformer with lots of different mechanics, and the pressure that puts you under in a jam environment. I think you did a good job of designing interactions for the mechanics to be used in. I also LOVED the music and thought the character sprite was pretty cute. Solid entry. thanks for the game :)

Very nice game, I liked the puzzles, they weren't too hard, but still took a couple of attempts to figure out the mechanics. The graphics are great. I did have a bit of trouble with the part where you have to drop down onto the conveyor belts, as the green belts are kind of hard to see against the background. The music was amazing and audio really fit with the game's feel.

It is supposed to be companion cube ? :D Great game. Good luck with your entry.

Great game with excellent level design! My favourite part is the one after gaining the arms, which needs to use partner box to solve the problems. Besides, magnetic is also a great mode, but there are a lot of jumps that can't see the destinate platform except dead for several times. In all, good job!

Hi I just saw your making of post and thought it was great so I wanted to play your game. This is a great entry. The art is fantastic a cohesive, and I love that the power ups are robot themed and not just generic metroidvania upgrades (love the magnet!)

The only point of feedback I have is really that I think the game would benefit from Coyote time, especially in the sections where you have to carry the blocks over the electricity.

P.s. I agree with your dev post about the theme!

@mungo @dimlight yes this part of the map is my biggest failure next to the flaw in design where you can get stuck past the magnets. I don't want to move it to much though, as I want this to stay the most faithful experience to the original release. We will continue to work on the game though for sure.
@zoarfy thank you for your feedback, if you want you can try out the PC build, that actually already includes the final patch which next to minor and major bug fixes also implements coyote time as a trial. My friend and programmer is kind of purist if it comes to platforming designs and prefers point perfect accurate jumps. But I managed to convince him to try to make it more forgiving as an experiment.
@baski hell yeah it is! thank you.
@d1gital-cuts thank you so much bro, not sure if you saw my comment under your game, but your entry is my favorite so far in the jam, and the highest rating I've ever gave.
@emma-b @namnam thank you guys for your feedback, I tried BoBo to look cute I'm happy I managed to achieve that. Also we added PC build which have a lot of improvements, including more forgiving jumps, if you would like to check it out. Also we added little secret area as well :)

I really enjoyed this game.
It is one of my favourites so far.
For a remake I would recommend adding a story.

Great look and feel. The magnet mechanic could be frustrating at times by pulling you off a ledge before you jump. I liked the flying part

Short, but still one of the best overall games I've played in this jam. Loved the charge mechanics. Great job!

Very impressed with this guys, stellar job! Everyone involved with the project seemed to execute their individual jobs perfectly, so nice work! I can see this doing very well in the Jam. I rated highly across the board

The pixel art and the gameplay are on point with this one! Fits perfectly in the theme and it really felt like I was getting more and more powerful over the course of my adventure :D

Good entry. Improvement possibilities:
- camera (always centered on the character can be a little unpleasant at times when it moves too much while jumping or when you can't clearly see what's going on until you rech this point
- more crazy things with the magnetic effect (using the repulsive effect to jump further maybe, for instance)
Good job everyone:)

What a pretty game! And the music is spot on as well. I'm really glad that you introduced space bar to jump, otherwise the controls felt really awkward. Very good entry, amazing job! Keep rocking!
