Loop Control by Tomate_Salat
You are a robot on a dying planet with a mechanical snake looping around you. This snake went insane and you better don't touch it!
On that planet there are circuit boards. Collect them for getting control over the snake. But when the snake collects them you will loose control! If you have lost too much the snake will kill you!
You can control your robot with WASD or Arrow Keys
Good Luck

The lighting and snake are spot on.
The gameplay is simple but challenging, I like it.
Music was really suspense!
I think, with some extra polish this game would be awesome. I am missing some details in graphics maybe, though I like the looks of the snake, or some sort of level design. Still, good work!
Wow I did not expect that, I started playing and though "well that's pretty easy, snake doesn't seem to steal the circuits" but boy how things change when the snake goes faster and starts gobbing up everything !
The speed curve is very very well thought, I don't know if this was on purpose or a welcome surprise for you but the snake starting very slow, meaning it's only a threat to your movements, and as it goes faster it becomes a threat to the circuits is kind of a great implicit tutorial !
Graphics and music work well, not too fancy but also not disturbing to the gameplay which is pleasant.
Good work !
Feel free to check and give me your opinions on my entry

Another, bigger change would be to make the game about controling the snake, and less about avoiding it. E.g. make the game be about getting the snake to pick up some things, instead of having to pick things up yourself.
A fun thing I found out is that you can sort of keep the snake in place if you start going around it in circles quickly. That's kinda interesting! Maybe it's worth exploring as a mechanic.
@guaranteedtrainwreck I experimented a lot with the speed and if the snake should either grow or shrink. In the first shot the snake had a speed of 360°/s which looked cool - but was too fast. After a lot of try-outs I reached the current balancing. I've seen that you submitted a web-version of your game. So I definitively will play it =).
@typeswitch well - avoiding the snake is actually the core-concept of that game ^^. I also thought of going more in direction of "feeding the snake". But that would've turned the game into beeing too easy. Regarding the health-system: I should keep that in mind. My idea was to set the highscore as "single goal". But it could've been the second. Allowing the player to reach more easy the end of the round would might increase replayability.
Btw: exploring the mechanic is definitively worth it. The snake is not unpredictable and my highscore is 11s.
I Love it!
Overall, a great and fun game!
Won in 30 seconds on my second try:
