Vaahtera is Finnish for maple tree. Of course, the tree you will grow might look nothing like a maple, partly due to the fact that the game has no characteristic maple leaves. Read the instructions carefully, the game might seem difficult at first, but by trial and error you shall prevail.

Update: Fixed problems with game not restarting, also growing leaves is no longer as confusing as it was before.

Very interesting concept! And great implementation! Tutorial a bit long, but still an awesome and unique game.

Love the aesthetic and the ability to zoom in/zoom out, the music is great too, really soothing!

Took me a couple of times reading the tutorial to understand the concepts, but got good once I got going. It would be nice to incorporate a score to see how tall the tree was or how many days we manage to survive also the game doesn't seem to end for me and water goes in the negative, other than that great work!

Interesting game, I couldn't figure out how to place leaves, I clicked on the leaf icon, then pressed space, but nothing happened. Still a neat idea!

Cool idea! Relaxing gameplay, maybe wish the music was more relaxing to match with the gameplay :)

@aurailus Maybe the tutorial was a bit unclear, to place leaves, you have to click and hold the tip of the branch wherre there is a leaf icon.

Great minds think alike! Well done! Much better control on the branches and leafs than my game :D It got me hooked until the water ran out. The only criticue i have is perhaps better introduction, i didnt know i could scroll etc to remove the branches.
Good job!

Wow, this was certainly innovative!
Was a bit confusing to not have a goal. But then again, trees don't have goals and it's nice to be one for a while.
I like how you did background graphics and the tree programmatic generation. Rain sound was very satisfying.

Very nice and relaxing game. Gives off a relaxing aura, similar to the Tree of Wisdom and Zen Garden from PvZ. The controls could be better, it was really confusing and unintuitive at first, but everything becomes clear after reading the tutorial. Ideally there would be no tutorial and everything would just be intuitive, but it doesn't hinder the gameplay.

Really nice game! The strategy is actually really well balanced. Had fun playing it and had to stop myself from growing a new amazonian forest ;) Nice one!

Very cute game with great graphics, even. The only thing that could be better is the balancing, because after a few minutes of playing the game becomes really easy. Building your tree is still great fun. The tutorial was long but the mechanics are really easy to get.

I felt like the tutorial dragged on a little too long, but otherwise I really enjoyed the game. It was very peaceful and even somewhat meditating. I liked how I was able to look at the smallest details on the tree. Interesting concept overall!
