LOST IN A DUNGEON WITH NO AMMO OR HEALTH: THE GAME by JAAG

[raw]
made by JAAG for Ludum Dare 45 (JAM)

My first LDjam game(first time I actually get something done when "participating"), barely finished, looks like crap (looks worse under the hood) ...still, I'm kinda proud

Made with Godot Engine

"Help"

Move: WASD or arrow keys

Shoot: LeftClick

(When you die, you have to re-open the game)

Items:

White Circle-thing: Ammo

Red-ish Cross: Health

Green Square: ~~[Broken] should Load another level (but actually breaks the game)~~ Generates a new level (fixed in 0.2.0)

Enemies:

Red Blocks: Basically turrets, some shoot on a timer, others shoot on sight

Other Blue Blocks: Look around randomly, if they "see" you, they'll shoot at you and move towards you

Spike Ball: Moves Around Randomly, and hurts you if you touch it

(Actually, enemies may kill one another by "accident")

EDIT: fixed bugs (Please see Gamejolt page: package: [ Ludum Dare 45 ver. ] release: [0.2.0] ):

  • fixed title screen texture not showing

  • fixed Scoreboard dissapearing on certain screen sizes

  • fixed "You Died!" screen not showing up properly

  • fixed "Green Square" generating a blank level and crashing the game

When i was playing this game i felt like I was stuck in a dungeon with no health and ammo, I stepped on one broken green square and i didnt know what to do. The reopening the game afrtear death is quite annoing. But the overall expierence wasnt that bad :D

I really wish I didn't have to re-run the application every time I died, but I did eventually get the hang of it. I like the concept of using a mouse in combination with the arrow keys / WASD keys because I can jump right into it. I like all the neatly designed objects that you interact with as well.
