Really love your character designs <3 and the animations also spot on love it! I would love to see a more polished envirnment that balances well with the characters and also the girl character is very slow annoys me abit how long it takes to walk. Overall, this game awesome and cannot waot to see more updates :)

Thank you very much for your comment. We agree with you about the environmental detail. There is so much you can do in 72 hours, U.U. We will polish the levels with time because we enjoyed the jam (our first) and want to improve... About the slowness of the girl, it was intended (imagine testing that girl over and over :P), but of course, it is a game design parameter that needs to be balanced out with the opinion of you guys, the players. So again, thank you for the feedback.

I like the characters design and atmosphere. Level with crown and last level were pretty hard to complete due to no prior information about what to do.

Cool characters and atmosphere.
The game is a little confusing. Its not clear what you are supposed to do. The ladder scene is too dark to see whats going on. Its weird that the girl just starts climbing a ladder you cant see.

This was a pretty weird game (but that's not a bad thing). It was weird how there was no direction. It was weird how new mechanics were arbitrarily added without any warning or explanation, and only used once. The characters were weird, they clearly knew each other, but the girl seemed terrified, and the man seemed evil. The goal was weird, how each level ended in a satanic ritual. Ultimately, I'm not sure what to think about this game. I feel like there's some layer here, some implied story, and I really like that. It was weird in an eerie way, and I think the ways you challenged the norms amplified that. Don't get me wrong, I'm intrigued. It's one of those outlandish games that makes you think back on what you played. It makes me wonder; what could be the significance of the crow and the rising, blood red water? Where are they and what are they doing?

Anyways that's my writers brain going crazy, the possible interpretations are interesting! I like the character animation and art, that was really good. I was also impressed by the audio, it made for some stunning atmosphere. I felt like a lot of levels were almost teasing me, like they'd kill me right at the end just for laughs. Dunno if that was meant to be frustrating, but I had to redo large sections of level multiple times, which I didn't like. The environments also lacked contrast, things like the black crow and ladders failed to stand out from the background. Overall, the game was very interesting, and you've certainly won my prize for weirdest LD game! :heart:

P.S. note that when I'm saying weird, I mean weird in a good way, something that stands out and intrigues!

Thank you, @justcamh!. We loved your review. Yes!, the characters knew each other; there is an implied story between them. We know we failed with the lighting of the levels.

We believe that games should bring out emotions, so we tried to reflect that with the atmosphere (sound and art), and frustration ;D. We decided to give the players something different, but within 72 hours, U.U. Of course, the level design could have been improved, and for the next jam we will have in consideration all the reviews that you guys give us. Thank you very much.

The art is very good, and the animations could use some tweening but they look nice nonetheless. The jump scare deaths are kind of strange, I'm not quite sure what the death face is supposed to be. I couldn't figure out how to beat the level with the crows. That being said, there's definitely something cool here. Great atmosphere, the dynamic between the characters seems unnatural (in the creepy good-horror writing way, not the bad-writing way). It's strange that the little girl puts herself at risk when the tall man seems to have such a powerful aura about him. It adds to the tension for sure.

Visuals and mood are really nicely done.
Levels feel way too spacious, with current characters speed, so restarting the whole level from beginning feels very harsh.
Also, I'm not sure why you made everything but characters so dark. It almost feels like html5 build is broken (maybe it is, sorry if that's the case). This doesn't add a lot to the gameplay, I had to turn up brightness to the max, to be able to see what I'm doing.
Anyway, good job!

Enjoyed playing this on our stream last night! LOVE the character art and puzzle concept. If I could give any feedback, it would be to make other things interactable, not just the characters e.g. if you could interact with parts of the environment, that would be cool. Difficult level was perfect. Solid entry and was fun to play! Well done!

Character design, palette and animations were great! Looked really polished. The sound really set a dark creepy mood, good job there too.

I found the level design a bit weird, the character are slow and the ladders very long, I did not understand what was triggering what, and I had no idea what to do with the crow, and the 'jumpscare' death felt out of place. Still, there is potential. The fact that you cannot go back the other way when playing as the girl on the ladder made some levels very linear.
