Deliver boxes in VR!

This game features some pretty intense VR car driving, if you're sensitive to motion sickness this might not work out great for you and I apologize for not being more considerate.

This game was build with SteamVR and uses the SteamVR input system, any VR headsets that work with SteamVR should work with this game. Motion controllers required.

Interesting concept that creates challenges for a vr design.
I had some problems opening the trunk, because I accidentally pushed the car. I think the game would benefit if the car wouldn't move unless the player is in the driver's seat.
Also the speed bumbs could be a big problems for players who are prone to motion sickness.
I like the physical hand presence and the navigation system works great while driving in VR.
In a flatscreen game with a cockpit view, that wouldn't work that well, so you took great use of VR regarding the navigation system!

Hi,
i found your game through my search engine for VR games :D
https://ldgamefinder.nerdvision.net/?event=current&jamtype=all&platformId=all&search=vr&submit=Search

I tested it on my oculus quest with oculus link and works not bad at all - i also really like the car driving. It works without big motion sickness.

Really great work man :)

I have to admire the large brass balls it takes to decide to make a VR game for a game jam alone, props to you. Unfortunatrly, I couldn't complete one delivery without getting frustrated because of the jankiness of everything. I don't think the truck needed to be on spring joints to its wheels, or at least, the springiness needs to be turned *way* down. The way the truck rocks from side to side is really weird.

The long range grab mechanic also interfered with trying to pick up the thing you pulled towards you. You can't catch things mid air because it causes them to hop into the air. On the vive wands, grip is not a good button to map to gripping things (ironically), because its not comfortable to hold. Trigger is much better, or it should be toggle, not held.

The hand also freaks out when you try to interact with physics objects, like the van door. It seems like its trying to figure out its position every frame, but once you've grabbed something like that, you should hard set its position.

Ie.: when you've grabbed the handle, the hand should not try to figure out whats its position and orientation should be each tick. Instead, it should recognise it is gripping and set its value to the handle's position, but allow the handle to be pushed/pulled by the controller inputs.

Loved The game!!
I played on my oculus rift so ill blame most of the glitches on my potato PC.

Oh boy, I was without my driving sickness for like 16 years now, but this driving really brought it back to me.  I really liked the idea of the gameplay and I have much respect for making a VR game all alone in a jam.

The controls and the physics felt very wonky. While driving, I could hear the packages in the back stuttering around.
This delivery boy seems to have very weak arms, because as soon as I grabbed a package it wiggled around and I didn't really have control over my hand. Thus it was very hard to get those packages through the doors or even upstairs.
Also I'd hate to deliver packages in this neighbourhood, can the inhabitants please put some street signs around and mark their houses with house numbers?

Nonetheless, very well done, man. I imagine it is very hard to test the controls thoroughly for VR game during a jam.

I definitely respect that you wanted to try something new, but the game unfortunately has LOTS of issues:

- The long range grab mechanic was really iffy
- The car was jumping around too much on the speed bumps; turn down the spring force
- I heard some stuff around me, sounded like gun shots, but just prolly was one package I had in the back jumping around?
- I was not sure how to get the package tracking show up, or more packages, so I just drove around with one package in the truck to test the game
- Last but not least (and that was probably my biggest frustration by far); WHY, just WHY, would you put a continuous movement on the character? That shit is truly disgusting, and it's hard to focus/do stuff when the world is moving around you
