It looked like you had a great idea, dounds and graphics are good, but there was hundreds of errors in the console, and the only thing I could do was fly around
Keep up !

Thank you everyone for your very kind feedback! This was our first jam (and first game) ever. We were very rushed to finished it and published it in a very buggy state. Nevertheless we're still very happy with how it turned out and are continuing to work on it. If anyone wants to play a less buggy version that runs in browser you can do that here: https://clivethebird.itch.io/clives-flight

We will continue to update the project on that page

Presentation was very solid. Graphics look great and the audio was on point. I wasn't able to do much other than fly around when it looked like I could do more. I couldn't interact with the other birds that were attacking my nest and I couldn't gather food. Also the pause button on the top right corner did not seem to work. I hope you continue working and improving!

I really like the simplicity of the gameplay and the visuals are very cute. The bird sound effects and the soft guitar track (which I assume is homemade  ) are nice and relaxing.

Indeed there seems to be an issue with cherries because I couldn't see any while testing, I will probably try the updated version later out of curiosity.

Good job on this jam :v:

What a cute game, I really like the art! Couldn't pick up cherries, unfortunately. But I like the idea a lot :)

Thank you for your kind reviews :)

You need to hover near cherries for a while before you collect them

They should wiggle when you are close enough :)

Really liked the graphics and the peaceful atmosphere! I didn't really get anywhere apart from flying around, but the controls felt really smooth! The concept was also great, and for a first jam this was a really good game!

Congrats on finishing your first game, and good job for creating all the assets yourselves! I liked the vivid colors, soothing music and zoomy bird controls :)

Greetings fellow Godoters :). Yes, Godot is indeed the best!

I loved the color palette you have chosen and the music very great, very relaxing. Concept is great and unique! Really nice idea.

The gameplay itself could still really use some work.
It was sadly very unclear to me what exactly I am supposed to feed my little birds and how to do that. First, I was searching around for some warms and stuff. But, failing to find any, I figured the only source of food is the trees. So I was frantically flying around the trees but nothing seemed to be happening. I managed to feed the babies once, but how - I still have no idea.

What I'm laboriously getting at here ;) is - some feedback for the player would be nice! Some UI element showing you that you picked up some food. Or just make those food items more obvious in the world, so the player can clearly see that they picked up something when they disappear.

Chasing away the other birds worked just fine though :).

I also experienced some hitches. Pretty regular even. No matter if flying in the air, near the ground or in the tree coronas - the game would just periodically freeze up for like half a second.

@fabula-rasa. thank you for your feedback, its much appreciated.

one of the things that i realise we need to do is some tweaks to how hard it is to pick up the fruit as well as some other things.
im not sure why their were some glitches of freezing and will also look into that.

im really glad you like the colours concept and peaceful environment and hopefully you will come back and test and updated version soon

I really enjoyed being able to play a bird, it's unusual. The atmosphere is very relaxing

I don't know if it's normal, but once the timer's over, the game freezes. I just have this in the console.

Other than that, great job! :D

really appreciate the feedback, we are still yet to implement an end game screen which means the current freeze at the end is normal and we are still working on it to improve it (outside the jam)
