Orbits by Week of the agents

[raw]
made by Week of the agents for Ludum Dare 47 (COMPO)

I want to congratulate you on an anniversary of the launch of the first Sputnik. And my game is all about space and satellites.

You are an dispatcher in a local space control centre and your job is to control several satellites. You need to support their orbit or clear it for purpose. When one sat falls another one gets its place.

Gameplay is simple - tune your recivier with control lever to one of a five sat's frequencies. Than you can check some parameters and send commands.

The game has no actual goal - just relax and listen to cosmic sounds.

What you had was nicely polished, although I wasent sure what the point was in what I was doing. Once I knew what I was doing, there wasen't really anything left to do.

I like the concept of managing satellites and the SFX were nice and cozy! I wish there was more gameplay to it though... Curious to see what this could become if there was more focus on the game mechanics?

@qfeys , @namidasai this is the core of my game - satellites stuck on their orbits, you stuck on your job, just relax and listent to space.

Interesting take on the theme, you're just kinda stuck so chill out and enjoy the vibes. I like it, simple and calming, good job!

Cool menu UI. It was pretty chill sitting around and reading interesting things for the different satellites as they sprang up and fell out of orbit. I felt like I was playing the launching part of Kerbal Space Program.

Relaxing experience, but there is no much game, as I can say =) But pretty athmospheric tho. Well done!

UI design is great. Everything works smooth.

Not much to do, more like a meditation experience. And this is ok, space must be slow.

Very interesting idea for a game and I like that the satellites say funny things. This is kind of like just a game where you chill out and let the game take its course. The graphics were pretty well done too. Lots of cool satellite designs. Good job!

Everything is nice, sound, visuals, user experience, except it didn't have a game mechanic. I was trying to sabotage my space satellites to only have ones that would destroy earth and have free internet. :-)

Nice 3D graphics for a Compo game! I know that an orbit is a loop but how the game is, seams a little bit far fetched. Maybe an orbit representation would do the trick. The concept is interesting giving the vision how satellites are difficult to manage when the fuel is limited :)

@rgilpt This time I didn't want to develop an entertainment action game. Just chilling and looking into endless depth.

Love the satellite art and the Star Trek-ey UI.

[This was a nice little entry to round off the stream with.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=05h02m40s)

I like little experiential games like this. It was nice and simple, but you managed to inject a lot of personality into it as well. Very very cool stuff here!
