Tower of Time by CodeRaurus
Time Lord has gone mad. You are the last Hero standing against this calamity. Enter the Tower of Time and test your might in this vertical side-scroller!
Controller recommended by a friend Xbox 360 and PS4 controllers have been tested to work, PS4 uses bit different layout: - Jump = square - Mute sound = L2 - Mute music = R2
Controls are provided at the start of the game.

Ramblings - The game lacks some features I wanted to implement initially. One could say they were core, but not core enough. - I'm actually positively surprised I managed to produce some kind of music! - Possible post-jam development? The possibilities and ideas intrigue me. - This is the very first game jam I've ever participated in. I'm very happy I joined. - ...?
Tools used: - Graphics: Aseprite - Music: FL Studio 20 - Sounds: Bfxr - Engine: Unity (C#)
Change log - [0.1.1]: Fixed game freezing and Time Lord's defeat animation - [0.1.2]: Possibly fixed player getting stuck inside the floor (couldn't get stuck myself) - [0.1.2]: Tried to fix jumps triggering twice at the same time, but the issue persists. - [0.1.3]: Fixed the issues from 0.1.2 (headbutt jump, mega jump & stuck in corner). Final patch for the entry.
* Feedback appreciated* If you play the game, please give feedback as well. I would love to hear them. What else would you like to see in the game or was there something missing?

personaly, even tho i only have 1 sound effect in my game, i would still want ppl to rate my sound xD, even if i didnt add anything with humor or mood, the ppl playing could see/feel something i totaly missed. score doesnt realy matter.
but, its a nice complete game. just a jump "bug" or a feature, depends if it is intended or not.
nothing to say on the graphics or sound or movement, all were nice.
If you're talking about the "mega jump" it indeed is a bug. Unless..
I like the progress bar. It let me know how close I was all those times I didn't make it. The Lord's frustration animation was a nice touch too.
I think the jumping could be tweaked as it seems too quick, and sometimes I can jump off sides of walls, but overall amazing job!
Good job! Congrats on your first jam game! :ok_hand:
@nidrig Cheers for the feedback! Yeah, there is clearly a divide between player preferences for inputs. I wonder if making that as an option would be worthy? As for the control guide, I thought I would save everyone's time by dropping clear instructions right off the bat. I even tried to consider colorblindness in some form. I'm glad you like it.
Overall a pretty quick and simple game, but I enjoyed it!
@fupi Thanks for playing and feedback! Yeah, I guess the theme is barely there, isn't it? It mostly revolves around the story of time manipulation and in the game you do loop through the same floors of the tower, over and over again. I felt not having an ending just wasn't the way to go.
@roofloorwall Thanks for the feedback. I also realized I didn't give the theme enough thought. I'll work on that next jam. Good to hear you liked it anyway. Could you elaborate on how the run felt unresponsive?
@god-colo Yess, pixels! I'm glad you enjoyed it. The game is meant to be slightly challenging.
EDIT: I managed to beat it!
@neowedge Thanks for playing! It seems I got the music right :D
be proud of finishing a game like this from sounds to graphics to basic mechanics, that's the whole point of a game jam like this
edit: I forgot to mention your amazing instructions at the beginning one of the most beautiful ones I've seen
I won :)
