Loop Lab by LeGoLaZ

[raw]
made by LeGoLaZ for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

Welcome to the loop laboratory! Our scientists invented the possibility to "save" things in time. With this technology, you can return items back in time or loop them. Using this invention and your imagination try to solve all the puzzles in this laboratory.

Controls :

Selection: objects available for interaction are highlighted when the mouse hovers over.
Drag&Drop: select an available object, hold down the LMB and move it freely (not all objects can be moved).
TimeLooping: you can make some objects get stuck in a time loop. Click the RMB on the object to save its initial loop position. Right click anywhere to save the second point in the time and the object becomes stuck in the loop. Click the RMB on the object again to return it to its normal state.

I liked the low-poly graphics. Good job on that. I was stuck in a loop a lot of times, it fits the theme :)

Very clever and very fun, one of the top entries so far. Graphics look great and work nicely with the physics based gameplay. Would love to play more of this with some more difficult puzzles.

The idea is really cool! The only problem may be the core of each level are kind of similar! but still a nice job for a Jam!

Nice artstyle, good mechanics, loved the achievments section, it got me to play multiple times to find them all, polished, could use more visual effects and soundeffects. well done

I didn't understood What I have done in the first level to complete it. But I understood the loop mechanic easily in the second one. Then It took me again time to handle it in the third. Finally after this I could manage it very well in the different levels. I love the diversity of the puzzles. (like the synchronisation to find in the bonfire level and the variation of goals with the bomb on the car). The art is efficient and the audio atmosphere fit well. You created a very nice concept. Now I think the important thing to do is a good tutorial and make a nice difficulty progression curve. Congratulation to all the team!

Soo much fun :D

I feel like you could just make a few more levels, put a level editor in and sell it.
Maybe some goofy titlescreen music would enhance the experience even more?
(also liked the achievement names a lot :D)

I think some small indication on what can be clicked would be nice, to get into it quicker

Also I'm not sure if this is intended or not... but the solution to most puzzles for me was to just have a super short loop (sometimes at the right time, or to release it at the right time) so it was kind of easy tbh

Awesome concept :) That's for this kind of game that I like playing to LD games !

May need some audio and satisfying sound when you hit the pirate :p

Very good entry

Nice idea for the theme, creating a new experience and then letting my play with it in a variety of different ways to explore it, all tied up in a nice package with strong graphics. Great work!

Achievement names were a small touch but I enjoyed them, hat tip to Sweet Tooth, and I liked the little remark after the slow-moving pirate about "I am NOT doing that again."
