Clockstop Jane

About

Clockstop Jane is a game about pushing barrels, flipping switches, shooting enemies and going back in time. You have 6 lives in order to accomplish various goals in the cyberpunk old west. We recommend that you play Clockstop Jane with a controller for best enjoyment.

This game was made in Godot 3.2.2. We will be releasing a post-compo version with bugfixes (there are many to squash XD)

Love the rewind mechanic, looks and feels great! The controls feel really nice to use too, especially the walljump.

Really like the idea of solving puzzles with your time clones. Visuals are also great :)

Besides the idea being not so original, the game made gave me a lot of fun. The mechanic is smooth and looks pretty polished.

Quite a steep learning curve, but managed to figure it out. I really like how the rewind effect worked look, and also fun to watch my own ghosts failing from my previous attempts, until I figured out that I was supposed to help my... future? self
Thanks for sharing!

The rewind animator is INSANE. As a dev, I respect that. The controls were hard to master (I'm guessing it would be easier with a controller, but it didn't work with my PS4 controller, is it normal?). Other than that, great job!

Great potential with this one. Loved the art/graphics. Some of that programming must have been a real challenge! Congrats on a great submission :raised_hands:

I loved it . Especially the way you can grab onto the walls but the movement felt a bit too slidey but overall great game with great art

Cool concept, but I think you could ease the players into the mechanics a bit more (ie first level have the switch right next to the door, add jumping platforming in the second level. large scrolling level for the third, etc)
Definitely something you can expand on, though. You should do a post-jam version.

The UI in this game is really something!
The gameplay has a lot to offer, but requires a certain level of concentration and planning to complete the level which is pretty unique
Very nice game overall!

Cool steampunk aesthetic and smooth movement/controls. I enjoyed the loop mechanic and it worked really well with the puzzles. However, I was sad to see it crash during the Robodog boss fight because I was quite invested by that point! Looking forward to the post-compo version!

I really enjoy the game! As a suggest, maybe you can make the switchs a little more easy.
I liked the rewind system too, very well done!

I really liked your game, the music was sensational and very well matched with the game, sometimes I came back unintentionally because I learned the "Q", but nothing that would hinder the game, this one of congratulations if you want to pass on your feedback on my game would be very thankful, a big hug.

For me as a non-jump-and-run-person the beginning (getting to the first switch) was already quite difficult, so I couldn't see much of the game unfortunately. I would have loved to say hello to the robodog. :robot:

For everyone who had a crash during the boss :( we've updated with some bugfixes that should prevent that from occurring.

The platforming was a bit floaty at the start but I got used to it quick enough. Really unique entry with a lot of depth! Great work!

This game had many familiar mechanics and some twists that gave it additional entertainment value.

It was fun to see how levels played out depending on your previous movement! An awesome and challenging mechanic to implement, I'm sure.

I was confused at the timing level with the barrel, I didn't figure out that if you manipulated it in one loop, you couldn't manipulate it on others even if the manipulating loop ended.

The dog bot was also a fun and interesting fight since it wasn't affected by the time loop.

All in all, it was a challenging and fun experience full of discovery! Excellent work!

Excellent game, you just need more scenarios, enemies and maybe more ways to finish other than opening the door.
