The idea is really awesome. I was wondering if there is an end? The shooting felt quite satisfying. Some Colliders were a bit weird. Overall good entry.

@freddyturbina Thanks!
@tyrael not at the moment, currently it's just endless. Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it!

it's pretty fun, I think if you had just a few more animations it'd be really fantastic, the transitions when going into a new room take just little too long though

I really liked the concept of the game! Love the graphics and the gameplay. I think the loop sound could be a little more diversified, because I got tired of it too fast.
As a suggestion, I think it would be interesting to open the doors where the connection is, or make it clearer, because several times I thought there was no room connected, but in fact it was connected with the door.

Overall, good job!

Very original level structure
Almost got how it works)
Also I'd like to have more shooting feedback

Navigating parts of a moving machine is a neat idea. But the game instead chooses to focus on it's combat, which feels good and all but is still remarkably unremarkable... I think you'd have been better off focusing on making the navigation more interesting, because clearly there's a lot of potential in that department and yet it all seems to amount to just a neat visual touch and the occasional period of waiting for a door to line up.

I like it very much! Really cool game! I think the Zoom out animations is very cool, but in my opinion it need to be a little bit faster. The shooting works cool and the player following the mouse also works great!

Nice shoot-em-up, crispy graphics and fine sound.
Too easy, weak AI.
And I couldn't understand how loop affects gameplay(aside from availability of shop). Should I kill monsters in each room at a specific "time-position" or it's endless by design?
ZoranSter
05. Oct 2020 · 23:38 UTC
@steambrain it's endless by design but thanks for the feedback!

Very cool. You should continue with this idea. With some serious polish time this really could be something. Great
pixel art! Also add a co-op mode and you have my money.

The rotating level is a pretty great idea - when I realised what was happening I was pretty impressed with it - however as I played for longer it mainly felt like it was just restricting which door I could go into and I didn't notice any major differences between door destinations with the only exception being when I needed to go to the shop. Overall it's a great foundational idea and I'd love to see something like this expanded upon outside of the bounds of a game jam, definitely had fun playing this.

The pixel art was charming and had a nice consistent style across the board and I enjoyed the music, though I feel the loop may have been a bit too short as it did start to get a bit old after a few minutes of playing.

Amazing job guys, you did great!

@caladrius Thank you  ! We had a bunch of other idea's but not enough TIME(get it xD) to implement them all unfortunately. Are there any specific things you would like to see in the future?
Caladrius
06. Oct 2020 · 10:26 UTC
@kingdwarf I'd love to see a Roguelite item system that can also tie in with the shop, and perhaps other rooms on the inside or outside (Secret boss rooms?) that move erratically so you need to time entering them. Combine this with some form of risk/reward gameplay (Maybe a combo/chaining system) that gives you a reason to move outside a room quickly so waiting around isn't the optimal way to play, and I think that would be a pretty solid set of additions to your base gameplay loop.

Again, great job guys!
KingDwarf
06. Oct 2020 · 10:32 UTC
@caladrius Thanks for the suggestion! We'll write that down! Maybe in the future we will also add items that can rewind time and maybe change the room layout. You have given me some amazing ideas haha!

Very good twin stick shooter. Very difficult to play on a touchpad though
I think your idea of the moving rooms in a random loop is very unique. The game has a good polish and is very fun to play.
The target cross is a very good idea for a better understanding of the twin stick mechanic.Unfortunately I cannot change our own game now to implement this too
If the score and room count would be visible after death, would be nice.
Keep up the good work, love to see your next jam game

On my second playthrough it stopped counting rooms, so that was disappointing. Loved the art and the different enemy types. The enemies could have had a little better enemy detection but overall this was a very good entry.

This is a really fun game! The highlight for me was the levels spinning around the clock, which is insane. I also liked the mood in general, and the cool little details like the clock-themed frame drawn around each room and the clock spinning backwards at the start to reset the levels.

It could be cool if the clock also formed some sort of puzzle! Like if there were also smaller rooms moving anticlockwise inside the current rectangle of rooms, and you had to figure out a way to navigate between all these shifting rooms to the exit

Great idea! It would grow up into big awesome rogelike game! But in case that I've got only Mac, I faced with low fps in web version, and that made game extremely hard and almost unplayable. Hope in win build it works perfectly and other will be able to play that wonderful game as long as they could)

Wow this was cool! I really like the artwork! My only complaint is that enemies would start to attack you before the camera was fully zoomed back in on the room you enter. Other than that, this was an incredible idea, and well made too! Great work.

Liked how the theme was integrated! But it would be more fun if there were more location based rooms (like the shop). I also felt that while the rooms were different, they did not feel meaningfully different to play. Similarly the slimes and skeletons did not feel like different enemies as I had to use the same strategy to kill them. Finally, it seemed that enemy spawns were on timers since they would suddenly pop up out of nowhere (I played the HTML version). Some kind of spawn beacon, or spawn animation, would help communicate what is going on in the game. At first I thought it had to do with line of sight or similar (or maybe it is line of sight? but then sometimes I would see through walls).

I really liked your game, the mechanics presented are fantastic, it would have some points to assess the impacts are not strong, giving the impression that everything is very light, it needs a death animation, it would change the font and add details on the buttons, because your game is very detailed and these 2 elements mentioned are too simple, nothing that gets in the way of gameplay, I know that in the future it will give continuity to the project, and I would like to follow, not only you, but many promising developers that I met here, I will follow you on itch, and I hope for the success of your project, a big hug.

Wewie, what a neat concept you have going on there! To imagine where this "cogwheel" mechanic could go...

Appreciated the music a lot, was very fitting with the artstyle and game concept. The gameplay itself was also satisfying, yet felt a bit samey after a while... maybe spice things up with cool upgrades you could buy with bones or coins?

Overall very cool game! Thank you!

Extremely creative interpretation of the theme. I really like the concept of moving rooms. I believe that you will be able to produce something very grand and innovative if you consider expanding and transforming your game into a commercial game. I like the graphics as well as the sound. The zoom effects are quite interesting as well. The controls are good and functional. The only point I believe you should work on is the colliders at some points in the scenario (some seem to be larger than they should be). But in general it is an extremely good and innovative experience. Good job.
