Dungeon Loop by radgegames
Note: I'm actually super proud of this game. I made every asset, the song, and coded the whole thing by scratch (in unity, didn't use any pre existing code) within the time period. I did this alone so please go easy on ya boi lol but my goal was to make the game with the least amount of google searches possible. I came in at 9 searches, just thought it might be an interesting self-imposed goal for your next jam, I learned a sh*t ton
Defeat the evil demon 4 times to escape the ever-growing dungeon. GAMEPLAY
Each Time you defeat the Demon, you will have to start from the beginning, but each time you do, there will be more rooms in between you and the demon, and they naturally get harder as you progress.
CONTROLS
Move character with arrow keys and shoot with WASD
PICKUPS
You keep your pickups when you get transported back to the beginning. The further you get, the more likely you are to find pickups. They can increase spell Damage, Speed, Size and more.
WARNING
Not Killing an enemy when you see it means it will be waiting when you loop back through, possibly with friends!

But overall, visuals, styles, genre, music, all excellent. I enjoyed playing this a lot and I hope you feel accomplished with the results!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to the first boss. I managed to overcome the enemies along the way but noticed my hp would randomly decrease 2 to 4 points at a time even though I'm just walking. It wouldn't be consistent either and eventually I go to the boss dungeon wall and died walking to it from this bug.
Other than that, I found myself getting into it and wanting to play more!
The Graphic is good for a programmer art and the whole feel of the game is nice, I found some minor bugs here and there like bullets and enemies go through walls and some rooms are just empty I don't know if this is a bug or on purpose.
having the player shoot in burst is a bit annoying for my taste I would prefer shooting constantly and having a low rate of fire, but it's not a game breaking thing just a small notice, also the controls seem backward in the modern shooting games we move by the left hand and shoot in the right, again just a small notice.
and round the Blood don't leave it shown to the player in a float variable if you want to be this specific use a slider bar, it would look cooler.
A small advice in the end because you're active in the comments and seems to care, consider working more on the presentation of the game no matter how beginner are you.
and I know it's a game jam so it may not apply here, but the game should always have a main menu of some sort to ease the player in, also it should have some feedback to the player like the enemy remaining health or a sound or a reaction when we hit the player or when the player gets hurt, these small things here and there can take you're level to the next level.
and the game presentation go even further by working on your game page choose a cool font, add some screenshots, some nice lines to hype the game.
you can check my game page here and on itch.io for some reference

(I can't post the LD link due to rules)
Overall the game experience was great and If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
PS: Lol I really liked the Google challenge
I think the WASD shooting and the projectiles were a little bit awkward.
Nice work for a game where you made all the assets yourself.
That said, i don't know if you gonna keep updating this game. But if you do, it could be a lot more fun if the game have more musics - instead of the only one back-ambient-sound. And maybe, as soon as the game starts, some explaining how the loop works (i didn't see the loop count on the UI changes).
And again, congrats!
