not a bad little game, the character was a bit floaty, i slid off the ledges a few times, but that is my personal preference.

Very clean game. The different loops were pretty cool. The momentum of the character felt weird and made the game fairly challenging at times. I only made it to the beginning of world 3 before giving up. The aesthetic looked pretty cool, but I would've rated audio higher if there was music.

@jcmonkey @gamefriend Found a problem. Some things are tied to framerate. I have a 144hrz monitor. Will try to fix.
Edit: It should be a little better now. Green Loops and Orange Loops move a bit slow but the game should be playable.

I agree with the floaty comment, otherwise it felt pretty good, I love the Title screen, felt awesome falling off and edge and flying down from the top and the start vs level select was cool.

Nice platformer! Really hate levels with canons which push you horizontally on short platforms - since platforms are really slippery and I have also to control my speed to get to it - I died alot there and this part was leaps and bounds higher in diffficulty than other parts.

This was a really solid entry. I enjoyed the puzzles and the various loops that had different properties. One thing I found more frustrating than fun was when a purple loop shot you onto a short platform and you had to jump again quickly. It seems like no matter how quickly I pressed jump, it wouldn't register and I'd slide off the platform. Other than that it was a lot of fun.

I loved the barrels levels in Donkey Kong Country and this game was entirely based on this idea. Very nice. Sometimes a bit laggy (on my computer at least) but not enough to make me stop playing.

That was very extensive for the compo, well done! This was probably on purpose, but the controls are extremely slippery, making it a challenge just to land on a platform, but I could see it being quite a lot of fun mastering the unique physics.

Donkey Kong vibes haha! It was really fun! Adding timer is a nice touch. Love it! Great job!

Great entry and use of the theme. I liked the premise of shooting out of the loop, as others have said reminds me of donkey kong country. I found it a bit difficult, but that's how game jams go. I'm sure with continued iteration you could improve that and take this further!

Finally a game that prioritizes gameplay. Kind of addicting despite being really challenging sometimes. Good job!

Wow, this game has tones of levels. I stopped in the 3rd world.

Even though the graphics are crude, I really liked the special effects.

That was PURE FUN, minimalistic but very effective, it got me going till the end !!!

The first level took me 43 seconds to complete: I had to understand that pressing an arrow while ejecting increases the range. And the last level of world 2 took me ages, it really forces you to master the physics of that "sandwich" man (the blue ring is especially punitive, a similar situation also occurs in the last level of world 3). I spotted one glitch: you can stand to the far left of a spiked cube. And one bug: when you duck on a moving cube, the character stays in place. And one idea that could be exploited during further development of the game: in the screen just before going to a next level, when the character falls it actually comes back on the top of the screen, a mechanic that could be used for other level designs.

The graphics are simple, yet I liked the moving background (I somehow felt like playing an old playstation 1 demo). Maybe adding a soundtrack could add to the atmosphere.

Very creative level design with great difficulty progression and step by step introduction to the game, and nice use of the theme to create a unique platforming mechanic. Good job adding moving platforms and moving and rotating loops!

The movement was a bit wonky with the slow acceleration and deceleration, but the variable jump height was nice. Sometimes after landing on a platform after being boosted, the jump wouldn't work immediately, which became very frustrating when the levels started getting harder. I'm not sure if ducking was useful for anything.

The sound effects were all fitting, all that was missing was some intense music to really set the mood.

Had a lot of fun playing your game! Think the physics when jumping from a loop I think needs a little more work but other than that I really enjoyed it.
