Torcher is just another working stiff, but his trip home to bed requires far more of his faculties than sitting in a sconce all day. See if you have both the mental and physical skills to keep the flame alive in this platform puzzler.

Very fun platformer. The torches walk is great on so many levels. The level design is nothing to right home about but the music and that silly walk more than makes up for it. Good Work!

Very fun game with a lot of neat puzzles! My only suggestion -- add some instructions, it took some button mashing to figure out that "e" was the interaction key.

I like how creative it gets with the music, and the soundtrack is great. I would love to see these mechanics is a bigger game!

Cool concept, love the torch dude. But the platforming was too difficult for me. I kept overshooting or falling short of blocks :)

I liked how the checkpoints in this game work, it's creative aesthetically. I think controls could be a bit better in regards to when I'm trying to use the propulsion to jump to certain places.

There are also times when I thought I would for sure be hit by the water because of the visual droplets, but I actually am able to get through without getting hit, causing some ambiguoity in when I can go through and when I cannot. I think the area could be defined a bit clearer visually, maybe the water droplets should not fade out across a long distance.

Other than that it's pleasing, I enjoyed the new mechanics that got added as I played. I didn't manage to finish it because I got stuck at one of the parts and it got a bit frustrating. I think some playtesting might have helped to identify parts where people get stuck at, so you can adjust the difficulty accordingly and create a more enjoyable experience.

Good job on the game!

Love the game! Im a huge fan when people can make necessarily video game elements like checkpoints also make sense within the world. Unfortunately i got stuck at the second wick, i couldn't jump high enough to light it. Very good game tho

Great game, fun and cute, super idea with the checkpoints) I can’t get to the end, I can’t get to the second cord. Still great work!

I enjoyed every aspect of this game! Platforming felt nice, puzzles were interesting and intuitive, and music you've made sounds great and fits this game perfectly. The only problem I had was the "jump booster" - a lot of the time I was just making the regular jump, instead of getting the boost, because I was pressing the jump button a little bit too early.

Short and simple platformer, I finished it! I loved the mechanics and level design. the only thing I wasn't a fan of was the bellows which pushed you up, I felt it's intent wasn't communicated that well the first time I encountered it, and I had some difficulty timing the jump on the bellows.

@jusw85 Congratulations on solving all the puzzles. We discussed wanting to make the bellows jump a discovery. But you are correct. The difficulty operating the jump works against the discovery. Thank you for the useful feedback.

This is a fun platformer, and the fire preservation goal is a pretty neat mechanic, reminded me a lot of BotW! Music is seriously slapping too 🔥 Nice job!

Some nice puzzles, as others commented, it would be nice to have a tutorial, there's a great game hidden by a lack of instruction here.

Nice transformer entry. I like the music and the graphics but I miss some instructions and some story. I didn't know why I was there, what did I have to do and how. But anyway, the playability is good and I had fun playing. Good job

Hey I can comment the bellows thing too -- i can tell that if you're in front of it it blows out your wick, but jumping on top of it doesn't seem to do anything either? That's where I got stuck, but I enjoyed being able to walk ahead just to look at the level, even if I couldn't play it.

I really liked how the checkpoints were re-lighting your fire, rather than dying and coming back to life. I've never seen something like that before.

P.S. I would give it 10/5 points just for the slap bass alone. My heart <3

Very nice control feeling. And especially interesting idea to transfer the fire by cord. Good luck!

@phixnay Agree, the bellows jump takes some tricky timing where, while standing on it, the jump needs to be timed as the bellow expands. The third screenshot above shows it in action.

i like the creative ideas of mechanics interacting with the main idea of carrying a flame. the controls are sometimes a bit frustrating jumping right in front of an obstacle oder interacting with the bellows.

Yay a puzzle platformer! The concept works really well for the theme and the combination of puzzle, platforming an humour is quite addictive. There are a few QOL things that would be nice (like automatically lighting the checkpoint lights when walking though lit), but overall I'm very happy that a puzzle platformer for once has snappy controls! Great fun

The music plus the character hyper run really fit amazing well for me, helps that the music was fantastic. The music really gave the whole game a jazzy feel. Alot of levels for a jam and the puzzles were satisfiyng to solve. Great work! I do think I solved the last puzzle wrong,I dont know if your supposed to jump over that last fan, makes the 2nd cannon redundant

That was extremely well-done. I like that the "check points" are built-in to the game, if you know what I mean. The puzzles weren't overly difficult but weren't too easy either. Great entry, I really don't have any real complaints!

@ilprinny Looks like you found an exploit :-). It took me quite a few tries but eventually I was able to make that jump without losing my flame too. Nice work and thank you for the feedback.

This is probably one of the best games I've seen so far! Epic visuals and awesome music (like seriously awesome music). Great entry!

First off, the music is amazing! The moment I started the game up I was greeted with a grooving beat to play under which immediately set the tone for the game.
Aside from that the game itself is really well made, levels get slowly but surely harder and new mechanics are introduced in a clear manner.

The only thing I had some issues with was that the boost platform thingy sometimes launched me to the left or to the right when I wanted to jump up high but that was the only issue I came across.

I greatly enjoyed playing this game so thanks for making it and well done!
