Welcome To Turkey's Plant Emporium!

The goal of this game is to build up and manage all of you plants!

The below game information can also be found in the game's How To Play Screen:

Game Play: The goal of this game is to build up your plants in your emporium! To do so, trim, or chop down trees to gather saplings and other resources to sell in the market. Note, gathering currently does not do anything. The money you earn can then be used to buy new plants! Watch out though! Plants have health and water and temperature attributes! Don't let these go outside of their happy range or else they may die!

Controls: - WASD to move - Hold left shift to run - Space to plant - Right click plants and objects to interact - Left click plants and objects to view info - E to open/ close inventrory - Escape to close overlay windows - Scroll wheel to change selected hotbar item

Plant Attributes: Plant attributes will show like the bar above. The bar shows each plants happy range between the two green bars. The text above the bars is their numerical value. Keep the plants attribute value, the white bar, between these two green bars to keep it happy and growing! If the value goes outside this range the will start to die!

Heat Lamp: The heat lamp will increase the temperature of nearby plants by 15 degrees!

Tiles: Each tile provides different amounts of water to the plants. Most plants can only live on 1 type of tile!

Doing Things: To interact with game objects, first hover your mouse over the object, this will show a circle around the object. Your players feet must be inside this circle in order to interact with the object! Once you are, right clicking will pop open an actions radial menu (if applicable), and left clicking will open a ui. To plant or place objects down, simply make sure you have selected it in your hotbar via the scroll wheel. Next hit space and a circle should appear around your player. Next click inside this circle to place at that location. Hitting space again will cancel.

Nice game. Very complex... took me a hot minute to realize I could sell more than just wood.

Yay, another libGDX entry. I like the game, even though the controls are a bit too complex for me. Maybe you should try the html export to make it more accessible. Good work

I would have loved to have used the web export, but unfortunately I have Java Code that doesn't port and work with the web exporter :(

I am very impressed how many different systems you managed to cram in here in such short time.
There honestly isn't much of a game here yet, but there's a very solid foundation for one. If you put some more time into you can make something really nice here.

There's missing a lot of content imo, but there's a lot of work done, and that's a pretty great base game, pretty sure that could lead to a great games with more content.

Interesting concept! This could be a fun mobile game once polished :)

Wow quite some complexity hidden inside this game.... It would probably be nicer if the information of the plant was shown already when hovering the mouse over the plant

The How to Play screen is very intimidating with the walls of text. Likewise, the game took me a while to figure out, but once I did it was relatively fun. As with any resource management game it's got an interesting balance of when to sell resources vs. when to reinvest them. I'd love to see more conflict to overcome, since right now it seems like I'm just making a nice garden without anything to really strategize around.

Your system was surprisingly complex for a planting game.

Have planted two blossom trees that died in one second (still don't know why) :frowning2:
There where a few issues with the UI:
- when you go near the top boarder it goes offscreen
- you can hold more objects than you have slots (tho i didn't mind that much)
- The radial graphics decided to go crazy. ![bug.png](///raw/64c/e2/z/33ecf.png)

Suggestions:
- add a sell all button

Interesting concept but it looks to complex for me, it could have like a interactive tutorial because the wall of text in How to play isn't a good first experience.

Hey! Saw your game was a few votes short, so I played it on Twitch and gave some live feedback! VOD is up on Youtube, if you'd like to see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gi6oja9yekY

I have never seen a gardening game model soil drainage before, but when I saw that sand drained water faster than soil did, I will admit I geeked out a bit. What a neat little gardening sim! I struggled a bit to learn the plant placement mechanics, though it was a lot of mechanics and different buttons to learn up-front. I think the input could've been simplified a bit, to use mouse as much as possible, and it might help make things easier to fumble your way into understanding. Honestly, I think I would've enjoyed this game if there was no character at all, and I was just planting and managing plants as a disembodied mouse pointer! That said, I enjoyed playing this. Thanks a bunch for making and sharing this!
