I'm blown away by the ambiance y'all created here. It's super immersive. The enemy creature is terrifying, and the restricting movement and initial light restriction really amps up the tension! This kind of stuff makes me super excited about playing a game, and this is an awesome example that shows just how important atmosphere is in a game! I should also not fail to mention that it supports the restricted gameplay!:)

This is very impressive for a three-day project; apart from the obviously striking visuals and atmosphere, the level design is actually very clever in several places (particularly the first half of the third level). My main complaints would be that the controls can feel a bit unresponsive (I felt like I could do with a bit less inertia and more momentum transfer when jumping/landing, as contradicting as those sound) and that with how trial-and-error some sections felt a faster respawn time would be appreciated (very thankful that the third level introduced checkpoints at least). Unfortunately, I stopped playing before I felt entirely finished with it because after the chase segment of the third level I seem to have run off into an infinite drop (screenshot attached although it may not be much help); not sure if this is the unofficial "ending" of the game at the moment, but I feel like a refined and completed version of this game could be very interesting~ ![falling.png](///raw/71d/z/311f6.png)

@shugor We missed to place a river there! It's a hard jump to complete, we should make it easier next time. After the jump you get a final message thanking you for playing the game and you go back to the main menu! so you didnt miss out on anything :)
Thanks for the feedback!

The mood here is great! I really liked when some puzzle aspects got involved as well in levels 2 and 3. A few of the enemy encounters have some trial and error, but overall I really enjoyed it.

I love the mood of this game ! It is so poetic ! and scary °^° when the wolf is breathing ine the background.
Maybe the graphics aren't clear enough to really understand where you have to go and how you have to go.

Really like the wolf and the general admosphere. Its just not very inovative I would say the gameplay is quite usual for a 2d puzzle game. But thats ok a lor off people enjoy that, just for me it was to basic. Would like to see something new maybe something that includes the overall look and the mood into the gameplay mechanic.

The graphics looks super cohesive. I like this atmospheric setting. I really like it! The only issue is controls, it's not responsive enough. Really enjoyed playing it.

In spite of having so little time, you achieved something really good, the atmosphere of the game, with the music and the art, really left me tense, not only at the moment of fleeing from the wolf, but at all times due to the fact that the candle went out, I really liked the game, although I did have a little problem at the time of calculating the distance of the jumps, but nothing that a little practice can't solve.

@casual-dutchman You could try installing the latest version of WinRAR if you're up for it. That will solve the issue :)

@rooftopdog Yep, that worked. For future projects, use .zip instead. More people can open that

I opened the game and was amazed by the art style. When I pressed play, the font was really hard to read and I couldn't read the full sentence. After that I didn't find an issue, other than the visuals and colliders not matching. The platforming and the moody feeling of the world was really awesome. I thought I saw something in the first tunnel, but I didn't see properly. After playing it, I now notice that it was the wolf (probably) Really cool game, worthy of more pollish and a full release!

Great looking game! The controls were pretty clunky for me. Movement was slow and jumping wouldn't register when on edges, like the character was off the platform just enough to not register that they were grounded. But the controls didn't stop me from enjoying the game. Great job!

For a jam project, this is incredible in certain aspects. The mood is incredible, you guys achieved a great looking game by being very clever with your illumination. On the opposite side though, the movement in the game feels clunky and breaks the experience that the mood can provide. Still, a good project you guys got!

Was not expecting to see a horror game here. Gives The Langoliers vibes, I was afraid of that movie when I was a child. And now I need to see my therapist.

Great art and music!

Great little game. The lighting and the atmosphere were top notch - it set such a strong mood and lined up with the theme of keeping the light alive quite well. The controls made it a little hard to navigate but it had really nice level design. Overall really impressive!

Very atmospheric! Unfortunately I didn't finish the game, but I played through the first two levels. The lighting was really cool and together with the sounds and art really made the mood of the game. Some of the movement felt a bit strange where I didn't jump where I expected to, but that might just be me. The slow walking helped to set the pace and mood of the game which was good, but it did make restarting levels feel a bit painful knowing that I'd have to slowly make my way through again. Honestly I don't know what I would do to balance this out but thought that I might mention it here anyway. Good job, especially for such a short time!

I'm really impressed by the depth of your game (number of levels, game design...). Congrats guys!! My only regret is the inertia of the little red riding hood, which is a bit annoying (made me fall a couple of times). I appreciate the fact that every thing was intuitive, no need to read rules before playing. GG!
