How to Play:

You're the green slime, and your goal is to defeat all enemies and get the highest score possible.

Clickable objects will appear all around the screen - click them to hurt the enemy and get points. Objects that are more red give far more points, so try focus on those. These will do a lot more damage too, making you complete the game quicker which results a large score bonus (quicker win = higher score bonus).

You can drag the mouse around to grab these objects easier. (Of course, be sure to focus on the brighter red ones)

I like the combat interface. Not a style I have seen before.

Quite atypic gameplay, strange at the beginning but it works pretty well.
I have a feeling that it lacks a way of losing, maybe the enemy could be a bit faster than the slime, so it represents a real danger, and inflicting damage to the enemy would apply some knockback on it.
The audio is nice :)

Hm, it's really unordinar gameplay concept!

But I found the game is a little monotonous. There isn't game difficulty as such. Though your task is click as faster as possible on reddest buttons - if you don't do that it not greatly affect the game. I mean need to add more excitement.

Maybe you can be hurt by enemies too if clicking on button to slow; or maybe you need to click only certain buttons to hit enemy, otherwise it evades hit.

But in general, good start!

Innovative idea. My wrist disagrees with fast clicking games but props for the cute sprites, the nice music and using libGDX which is one of my favorites. Congrats!

I feel like this could be very fun if it were to be expanded upon in some manner, as I found the combat system to be fun. After playing through it twice though it does seem that there is no real risk for the slime, as others have mentioned the game would be more enjoyable if an element of threat was introduced. I do appreciate that there is a point bonus based on time spent playing, so there is some incentivization to play quickly. This is an unique entry, certainly not bad. There is a lot of potential with this mechanic, there are a lot of possibilities.

I'm not really following how this fits the current theme, but appreciate the style and gameplay it has being a favorite of mine (essentially "Tag"). While it does fit "stuck in a loop" I usually look for a deeper meaning or more innovative approach. Good luck with your game, it's a fun start for sure!

Congratulations on the game! Since it is a compo entry I know it must have been hard to get everything working in time. As others have said, it would be nice to have a way to lose, but also if you just hold the left mouse button down and just drag the mouse around the game ends very quickly, so maybe you should also think of a way to modify the gameplay to both add difficulty and also avoid repetitive clicking.

Not sure how you can lose, so it becomes a bit monotonous once you know what to do. Good sound design though.

Sound rating is 5/5 for sure, it took me a second to understand well how it all worked but once I did, stuff became pretty fun and I am not sure I would ever lose again, it seemed rather easy to me at least. Overall really solid entry!

Very good audio. The music might be slightly too relaxing for a chasing game, but on the other hand it's great. I guess it's only a matter of preference. The gameplay is interesting, yet it lacks stakes (losing the game).

Good job with the game!
