Take the role of an unfortunate peasant stuck in the middle of a brutal civil war. Your village has been raided and put to the torch, but just as you die you have a vision, a mysterious rider on a glowing green hooved horse appears. He stabs you with his magic sword and you awake back before your unfortunate end. What could this mean? What does the mysterious rider want? Might it have something to do with this unjust war and the tyrant now occupying the keep?

This is an immersive stealth game, audio HIGHLY recommended!

I found the king but he was already dead and I got softlocked I think, despite those things great entry really enjoyed playing it.

@marshal Thanks for playing! The king being dead was a bug, we uploaded a fixed build, thanks for your feedback!
@Dizzy Thanks a bunch!

Really well done. Finding the shortcuts made dying less of a burden which was nice, felt very Dark Souls like. I'm going to have nightmares about the sound the guards make when they are eyeing you off haha. Thanks for the game!

Wow, that is a very ambitious project for a game jam, but you nailed it ! Cool aesthetics, simple but fun sneak gameplay, that's very good work !

Solid entry overall, concept is well in the theme. I would add a background music (a well chosen one could really make the game better, I would say one similar to what is used in movies when the situation is tense) and I would make the crouching a toggle given that I crouched a lot (when going through crops, having to maintain ctrl was a bit annoying, not a huge problem but it could be an improvement). Other than that, really nice design and the game is fun so I enjoyed it

Definitely an ambitious game but it delivers. I was struggling for a while until I reread the controls and found the map key :p

I'm not sure exactly what was going on with the water basin-looking things that teleport you, are they intended to work like checkpoints?

Overall a really engaging game. Nice job!

@ryano Thanks for playing!
@jrevel Thanks!
@vivien-fargette Good points, we were a bit tight on time but I agree bg music would set the atmosphere well and the toggle could be useful! Thanks !
@aquanim The teleporters get activated the first time your reach them, they are there just to reduce walk time. Thanks for playing !

Great entry! I really like the art style and the pixelated fire looks so good. Gameplay works well however there are some buildings with open doors which you cannot enter due to an invisible wall. this got me killed several times which was a bit annoying, Still for only three days this is really impressive!

Great game! I appreciate, that it isn't too hard, but it felt a little long. Also a short description for the items might be helpful - I needed a moment to figure out, that you can use the barrels for the fire. And I think I got stuck at the end. I killed the one dude, but it seems I could pick up the knife again. But that also meant, I couldn't interact with the other objects anymore. But as I said, great game.

Oh, and I forgot, I also got stuck at the second pack of dogs. I threw the meat in the door frame of that tower and couldn't move forward because of the meat and the dogs. Mabye the dogs should be outside of the tower.

Impressive entry ! Very ambitious and delivers. Very nice work on the level design and shortcuts, the map was very cool to have. Mood was a success. I think i cheated by climbing the mountain just after the first battleground. Congrats !

Your game has very elaborate gameplay elements. I really liked the ambience, the graphics, and the sound. The Experience in general is very interesting. I hope you continue to develop this game. Congratulations.

@bredera Thanks for playing! Yeah we did not go over all the colliders manually so some of them are just left as box colliders.

@le-don Thanks for the feedback! Yeah there are still a bunch of bugs in the game sadly, hopefully we will find time to fixt them at some point.

@spotline Thank you! Yeah the mountain climbing we decided to leave in as 'emergent gameplay' :D

Great graphics and sound design but I think the second enemy got stuck in place and I could not get past him. But great entry overall!

Wow this game was not kidding when the castle was covered in ? marks. It's absolutely incredible that you were able to make a 3D game look this good so quickly, and I had lots of fun up until I crossed the river. After I got to the castle, things kinda went downhill. The castle is more disorienting than threatening. After I killed the king, I lost my ability to interact with objects, but I succeeded in glitching through the door, running along the mountainside, and slipping through the hills past the doom knight area. I then jumped out of the world. I'm calling that a win. Ladders are kind of jank, I had a bunch of problems with invisible walls, open-looking doors I couldn't go through, beacons not being where I expected, and not being able to step up 20-centimeter steps. Despite these flaws, this is a spectacular entry. I thought it was really great when I got to the bridge and saw all of the corpses of people who tried to cross it. Avoiding the knights was fun, though I'll admit to being disappointed I couldn't clobber them with the water barrels. Relying on shortcuts instead of checkpoints makes the player feel as though they've earned their progress and strengthens the theme. The noise when a knight notices you is absolutely on point. Well done.

@piscythe Thanks for the detailed post about your playthrough. Yeah sadly we were a bit tight with time in the end and a lot of bugs were still left in the game. We wanted to try and focus more on sneaking thus no fighting this time.

I don't know why, but I really was scared when this knight-dude spotted me. Nice work!

Looks great, and I love the thief-style map, but unfortunatly low framerate for me (my old laptop's fault) so I won't be able to give this a rating sorry :(

But just wanted to say congrats on the entry!

The typical die-respawn thing is probably too generic to count towards the theme, overall the game suffered in multiple areas because of its scope. Still that's a pretty large and atmocpheric world for a jam game, so good job on that :)
