Tuxedo, watch out for the rock! by Gumemura

MY FIRST GAME!
Texudo, watch out for the rock! is a simple 2D game made at Ludum Dare 47 game Jam
This is my first game jam and the first game i ever made. It's far to be the best indie game, but i'm happy with the result and proud with myself becasuse i finally finished a project! Any feedbacks will be welcome, but please, be polite :)
You can find the source project on the link bellow. There are no comments on the code (i made it on a hurry), but if you'd like some, let me know and i'll gladly reserve some time to add it.

Well done
I, personally, would prefer if the player's movement were less "floaty", like without the acceleration, because it would give me a faster response to my inputs.
The fact that the coins load your special bar is a bit unintuitive, maybe if it had a fuel icon or something like that, it would be more clear.
But, overall, it's a nice game! You did the most important thing when starting with jams: small scope. It's a very hard thing to do, so, congratulations!
I also agree with the rest about sfx, score, movement precision, and the coins not being intuitive. My personal remarks would be that:
* I don't know why you chose to be vague about the "special power". Took me a few tries (which I could have use to actually play the game) to figure out what it does and how it relates to the coins.
* The intro animation is great because it serves multiples purposes. It tells us what the game is about, why it is so, and what its tone is. Besides, it's funny and helps break the ice. I don't know how hard it was, but I always leave cutscenes to the end and end up making them in a hurry. You made the right choice putting the time and effort into it.
Hope you keep making good games like this =)
The graphics are good, the mood is decent, gameplay is ok.
Anyway, you managed to finish a simple and fun game in time, so that's great, good job
First of all, good and respect for you for giving us the info that you werent using your own assets. I've seen MANY cases in the past, where especially SunnyLand assets have been used a lot and they have claimed the graphics for themselves. So that was nice to see.
The gameplay felt quite smooth, and I didn't really find any bugs or anything game breaking, maybe just some super small collider issues. The animations were really nice, and stuff like that makes a game feel a lot more polished! You could've added some sounds if you had time, for example some kind of wind blowing (or something like that) as you're falling time. But this is a super good first Ludum Dare, I really hope to see you join the upcoming game jams and see you improve!
Anyway, great entry!
