The concept is excellent, and the execution is pretty good as well. The cable physics make the experience very enjoyable, and the level design is also quite interesting.
Concerning the controls, I do not think that putting the interact button on F would be the best option (maybe the Enter Button would be better, since it isn't right next to the moving buttons ?), but the rest is satisfying.
Great experience overall.
Suggestion in case you plan on updating this, maybe you could work the cable into a mechanic for movement? Like you can use a cable as a rope to reach certain areas?
I will say it would have been nice to have gotten a bit of music to Help propel the mood and atmosphere to the next level. Also the controls while simple enough to catch on, i do not believe them to have been very user friendly. if you used A&D having the F key next to D to connect the server was slightly irritating. I switched to the arrow keys to help out with smoother game play. While that helped, i still believe it made the controls feel almost janky and uncomfortable to play. I would gladly do up to about 8 levels of that doing a longer game would have simply gotten too uncomfortable with that key set.
Over all so far 1 of the best jam games i have played and reviewed, Great Job.
@shaolin-dave I was playing around with the idea for using cable to move, but had to drop it due to time constraints. Definitely plan on doing an finalized edition where everything is better, and definitely will include this mechanic!
@Jarithius Yeah, should've definitely dedicated more time for getting the controls right. Went with the initial set, and never came back to it.
Great game!
