Super cool graphics and cool theme based idea!

Oh nice concept ! It reminded me kuru kururin on Gameboy Advance !

I just find your game lacks of challenge : it's too slow, and the threats are too easy to avoid.
But nice entry overall ! :)

Very simple game, with a cute esthetic. I find the loop a bit hard to control, but I think I need a bit more training. Good work :)

Amazing mood and graphics, but the game by itself is a bit too easy :)

@steffo The difficulty increases with every 5 stars you collect, hopefully its not too easy when you collect many :D

Really cool mechanic and great art-style. Got the hang of it after a while, but I still found it a little slow at the start. *HONK* *AHO*

The art style is pretty cool. And cool spin on the theme :P

One thing I found is that I ended up not using the loop adjusting mechanic very much, although I wanted to, because it's cool! Make tuning down the wasd movement speed and making the loop more configurable would have worked?

Or perhaps having a bigger minimum size for the loop would force you to use it more.

The graphics are super cute! Nice drawing here. The concept of the game is simple but efficient, and well implemented.

I guess it would be better if there was more stars at the beginning of the game, because it's quite slow to start. And some collisions (with the birds) seemed a little "unfair" to me, but that may be just a feeling.

Overall, that's a good LD game, good job!

@johanhelsing we definitely ran out of time to tune the loop properly, implementing the mechanic proved to be a bigger challenge than we had anticipated. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement when it comes to the core mechanic itself!

@chocolat-endive Geese are evil birds and you should never trust them. Thank you for your feedback, we felt similar about the star-to-enemy ratio but we had to cut it short due to time constraints. Right now each entity as an equal chance of spawning, which will make stars feel a little sparse.

My favorite part of this game is how you brought drawn images to a video game. The art gives the game a very pleasant aesthetic and a generally very happy vibe. It's a very peaceful game with a simple goal: get stars. I would agree with the comments above that I did not use the loop adjusting mechanic and would have liked to have a purpose for it because it was a cool concept.
Overall, this was a fun little game that has the potential to be expanded. Excellent work :)

Absolutely adorable graphics, and interesting take on the loop theme. Your control scheme might be tuned and explored further, but nevertheless, I've had a great deal of fun playing with it.

interesting loop mechanic. I kept trying to get creative with the loop to pull of some slick moves past the obstacles but I kept killing myself because of it.

The graphics are really nice, I like that doodle style.

It might be better (or much, much worse) if the radius of the loop would change over time, forcing the player to adapt

I really like the art style you used for this, nice quality doodles! The concept of the plane going in a loop was also an interesting take on the theme and something I have never seen before. The implementation seemed really well done to me so congrats! Although was there supposed to be audio because my computer didn't have any.

Interesting twist on a concept was pretty fun, the audio or impact when bumping into something could have been more impactful but overall good game.

Very fun game. I love the idea you got from the theme, :airplane_small: actually it is pretty interesting to control this looping plane and it is quite pleasant to wait the perfect moment before rushing between two obstacles. It is pretty hard, but it is a lot of fun. I also loved the graphics, especially the little "honk" with the birds :bird: . It's a nice touch. Great job!

Love tho doodle art style! I wish making the loop bigger/smaller had more mechaincs, seemed like having the loop as small as it could be was the most advantageous.

The game looks amazing! Not LD jam level amazing, but like a proper small game amazing!
The gameplay is good, takes some time to get used to loop controls, but other than that it's pretty fun to play. The sounds for star pickups would be nice, but considering the time frame it's totally fine.
Very nice entry overall, good job!

Love the aesthetic! It is quite fun too. This game could totally become a full game and be released.
I kind of missed some SFX and visuals when collecting stars or when crashing. Ah if we all had a bit more time .

Nice job! I really liked the art style. A cool idea for a game, the idea of changing the loop is cool, but in practice I didn't really used it and just moved around. The music was nice and really added to the theme. Good job!

Lovely aesthetics. Honestly, I don't really know why would you want to change the loop in the game, since it doesn't provide any challenges for you to want to do so. Yet, the game fits the theme perfectly, congrats

I was wandering if this could be more challenging without the circle preview. Love the grass/mountains animation, it feels great with just a few frames!

Really clever mechanic, and I loved the art and music. It felt a bit too easy though, and didn't find that changing the loop was very useful for avoiding things. I can't think of any suggestion now, but I do believe this is a good idea and you could probably come up with some interesting challenges that require the player to pick a specific loop shape.

Maybe you could lock the player in one position (center of the screen?) and *only* allow them to control the shape of the loop? And add a boost button or something to increase their speed for a short time so they can complete the loop faster to catch a star.

Anyways, this was a solid submission. Good job!

An interesting mechanic, even if it does need some fine tuning. The difficulty could've been a tad higher(higher speed, more obstacles, etc). Looks great.

Cute concept. The art and creative directions is very well done. I found the loop mechanic to be lacking, and keeping it small seemed to be the most beneficial strategy. I could see using the loop controls for greater nuance and finesse, but they don't feel intuitive or snappy enough to offer value to critical thinking or reflex. That aside it was a quaint, chill game, and i'm happy to have given it a shot. Thanks!

Your game has an interesting idea. I like the artistic style you put in your game, I wish there were more games like that. The mechanics of "controlling the loop" at first sound a bit confusing, but in practice it works very well. It is a creative mechanic. In general the experience of your game is quite fun. Good job.
