10:21AM BST 20-40-2020 - FIXED Game now runs from front end correctly. You can play it! Hooray! only difference in builds is this one loads the menu screen first. Last build jumped straight into the level.

2:50AM BST 20-40-2020 - BUG: After submission I discovered that the game will not progress from the front end to the main level. I have therefore removed the front end to fix it and have uploaded a build that is just the game level itself. Will fix it first thing in the morning. Something to do with huge load times using "OPEN LEVEL" in Unreal 4. - RESOLVED

VERY good loking game. I enjoyed figuring out what exactly I had to do, but I don't know if such indistinctness was intended. If it was - great job, really, very impressive.

Thanks @chertkov It is my first time using Blender to make assets for a game jam so yeah, I am glad it worked out okay!

I was aiming for more of a puzzle game than a feeding mechanic but with the time running out it became a bit of both so... let's say YES. It's intentional :D

Short but fun. I wasn't really sure what to do to fix it quite often, but I guess that's the idea! Fun little story.

I will say though that the jerkiness of the camera and the dark areas in the ship made it hard to find things sometimes.

Thanks @seriouslycrunchy and yeah... the cameras were a mess in the end :D I wanted fixed cameras but ran out of time to smooth them over.

So much effort in one game!!! But I haven't realized where I needed to place batteries.

I liked the puzzle of figuring out where everything went, and felt the modeling really made it easier or more fun to identify things. Pretty complete for a compo game. I wish the little dude had some funny movement animations. I'm not sure this expands to a full game, but I do think the idea could make its way into a larger game.
Funny.
The mouth on the engine was particularly neat.

Hi @aret24 ! Yes it's quite a puzzle to figure out the order of things. I tried to make the captain give hints too but it might be too obtuse in areas. There is a big blocky pipe thing at the very top of the room up a ramp... once the core is in place and shielded, it will open when you get near with a cell. The video walkthrough will show you if you are stuck :) Thanks for playing!

@thedashdude Thanks! I tried to make the pieces specific shapes to guide the player so that is cool it came across :D
I would never dream of making this a full game :D Just a fun experiment for a jam. Thank you for the kind words and I am glad you enjoyed playing.

This was super fun! I loved how the captain would give you hints if you took too long doing something. I am really impressed, I only wish I could skip through the intro to play again a bit faster. I really hope the "Happy Cappy" enjoys his cookie in the end! A really solid game, well done!

Aahhh man! i thought i won the game, i assembled the entire room before i started filling the fuel cells for the first time, when i did i was told i was a true miracle worker and that we where heading to the infamous peace planet for some fun *tea time*, but then, nothing happened, the engine slowly started dying out on me and i was locked in my little engine room. with no more fuel cells and no more commands i tried tossing myself in as fuel with no consequences! haha.. i ended up hitting escape and was returned to the main screen and felt like i completed it, i was happy, but then i checked the video walk-through and realized i was only half ways.

But I did it! i fixed the ship to factory conditions, so i consider myself a miracle worker either way!
I want to say... **First try!** but that would be wrong haha

Really enjoyed this game, the graphics where nice, audio was beautiful and you hit the theme pretty well!
Nicely done!

Thanks @andidebob ! I had "skip functionality" on my list of things to do.. but it was about 6 items past when I ran out of time :D

@kekkodude Glad you had such an emotional rollercoaster! I did have the plan to make it time out but again, barely scraped in on time so left that one to the drawing board.

Thanks @daniil-tcyvakin , They were not as easily spottable as I had hoped.

Cool game! The graphics area really nice as are the visual effects. The audio works really well too to create a mood just like being on a spaceship! The movement was pretty good, and the jump definitely came in handy. I would have liked the player to be a wee bit bigger though. The game felt polished to an extent also. I didn't manage to assemble much but I saw your video and realised I was overthinking it :). Great entry, and all the best!

Wow, very visually impressive game. The game play was a little minimal, but it was satisfying to reconstruct the beautiful ship interior. The game also had a good atmosphere and feel, and the lighting was better than any I've seen in the jam thus far. I was a little confused at first, particularly about the controls; I went half the game pushing the objects into place without realizing I could pick them up. Still, a very good entry!

Very impressive! The gameplay is engaging, the humor is good, and the engineer is a miracle worker. There is also a lot of expansion opportunity here, which is very cool if you decide to develop this further.

A very well presented game, the intro alone gets bonus points! I thought the music fit well but the gameplay was lacking, leaving the player to fumble around a little too much, highlights and button prompts for interactions would go a long way to improve this. Still, impressive for one person in 48 hours. Nice work!

really awesome game! I love the talking sound sfx :) I did use the help of the walkthrough at somepoints to help figure out what to do next at some points :D

Thank you everyone for the support and cool feedback!

@jonaspk Thank you! this was my first compo using blender so a lot more time was spent on making assets than gameplay and you are right, it shows :)

@david-knox Thank you! glad you enjoyed playing

@almax Button Prompts! yes of course :D I even did that in my last jam and should have thought of it here. Next time! :D

@avi Thank you and I am glad the walkthrough helped!

What a great set of comments to wake up to this morning. Thank you again everyone!

That is amazing ! So much work done in 48hours : A 3D game with story telling with intro and outro, a lot of interractive assets, and some audio effects that fit perfectly the game.
The only drawback for me was the clarity of the gameplay, even though I assembled all the broken piece and put the fuel in place I was stuck with nothing more to do and nothing happened. Maybe you have to do it in a specific order like in the playtrough but if it's the case it's pretty hard to guess. Anyway one of the most impressive entry for me.
