Jaghund Armoured Organ Delivery Service by iamscissors

made by iamscissors for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

JAOD MISSION 46: Since the MAW Lojackers, a group of low-tech anarchists lost control of their insect horde all of society has crumbled into a battle of survival. You have one mission, and one only; you must stay alive to deliver the heart. Our client Travis, the CEO of Orbital Biotech Deliveries requires a heart transplant and you are the last functional drone capable of completing such a request. It’s dangerous out there but I’ve read reports that some of the power grid may still function. Use what power you can gather to charge up any of Fujisaki Corp’s bots you might find. The Lojackers will stop at nothing to capture your cargo.screen3.png

Reviving other robots to help you was creative and fun. I replayed the game twice, because the first time I somehow got put in the last level as my second level and beat the game in two stages.

Came for the art, stayed for the game play! Well done :)

Art was cool, encountered a few bugs (repeated maps, subway tunnels didn't let me go through it), but was a really cool time!

@systematic @nillard Thanks for the comments, I uploaded a bug fix to deal with the room changing/skipping issues.

Maybe the future of tower defense, really i love the concept. Universe is soo interesting the graphics simple but pure and efficient perfect. Epic music, and....oh there is no sound effect its only one problem on this entry, add them please and make a full game !

A lot of really cool stuff going on here, but I encountered a really weird bug in one of the levels where trying to go through the exit resulted in another robot attaching to mine (?) causing us to flail uncontrollably around the map.
The bot AI was impressive, that was fun to watch.

This game has a lot of depth to it for a game jam entry. I loved the art work and the sound effects/music. I managed to complete the game first try. Great job!

You know what? Actually it was fun! You should keep working on that reviving and powering up allies mechanics, I really loved them.

Here is my playthrough:

I really had fun playing until the game crashed and I coundn't get back in. But good graphics, the mood is totally set with the music (even if it is a little repetitive).

I really liked this one. Building up a little team of allied units was not what I was expecting going into this, but actually was really cool. I'd love to be able to give them orders though, like they attack whatever I right click on for example. This is a really cool game and I hope you take it further.

Cool game. This would definitely be awesome if you continued adding stuff to it. I liked the character design especially.

Hey this is a great game! The idea to have the power be your main form of interaction with the world whether it be shooting, powering things up, or just running faster was very well done. I loved that your health also tied into this. Taking damage didn't feel punitive like other games, but playing without care early on could put you into nasty positions down the line. The turrets didn't feel as helpful as they could have been. I was never relieved to power them up and dragging them around felt more cumbersome than it was worth and I often just charged them up and kited enemies near them so they would do my dirty work. Despite this most levels I was able to avoid fighting for the most part. I got into the habit of making sure that my charge was fully filled before going to the next area. There was one occasion where the door out was close enough that I just tanked shots because I knew I had enough energy. Not necessarily a bad thing, but definitely some risk vs reward going on. Overall, really fun entry. Thanks for making!

I love the art and the animation on the main character. The levels felt a bit odd. I was able to go straight to the main door and power it up without interacting with the world very much. I wish it had sound effects since the art was so cool! The music almost broke my speakers lol.

Really cool concept! You might want to make the subway tower require more energy, because right now I can just rush to the tower, shoot it and go to the next level without using any of the cool mechanics.

Cool game! I liked the concept, even if it is borderline for the theme.

The visuals are simple but efficient, and they fit very well the concept of the game, and even better, they are consistent. The music is epic, as it should be for this type of adventure :)
As for things I'd improve - not a lot, maybe adding more levels? :) I found that I didn't need the towing mechanic, so it would be nice to have some levels or puzzles where it is actually needed. Same for running, I finished it and I only used it during the mini-tutorial at the beginning.

add some more elements, some music and effects and you got a great game, sort of PORTAL-like, I don't know why... dark, solo future.... nice gameplay. I loved to build up an army and then power up those towers while my recluts were on the front, fighting. ajajajajaj.

Very nice game! Graphics are amazing but it could use some sound effects. The levels could use some more work, perhaps it should not be possible to activate the door until most of the enemies were destroyed. Keep up good work!

Cool game. I would love some more focus on the gameplay instead of as much polish on the graphics.

Many of the graphics assets got left unused (or got used as props). IMO, you would be better off making a generic "wall" and adding more gameplay features instead.

Still, it was an enjoyable experience :D I barely managed to finish with like 10% of my battery remaining useful.

Game has a bunch of cool mechanics and is overall quite enjoyable although there is not much incentive to actually kill enemies or their nests or charge the robots since you can just charge the station and leave quickly.
