Aeternum by Wabble

[raw]
made by Wabble for Ludum Dare 47 (COMPO)

Go through a maze of random placed block. Every time you go through it the blocks change AND, your last path is added as an obstacle / new thing to play with.

You will feel like your back play tony hawk's pro skater 3, kinda

Loving the trails left behind, how did you create those?

Fun game! The level generation spawned objects on top of me which killed me instantly a couple times though

@cottontshirtz I saved the players position, and then generated a mesh when he reached the end,

This is an interesting game. I started jumping through the level and my the help of the previous loop, I was able to jump higher and higher. I really enjoyed it!

wow, Im surprised Ive never seen this idea before! genius. I early on I was making it easier for myself without even noticing, because I was jumping alot, creating arches (loops!?) to travel under. Maybe another reason to jump would've been good. Coins to reach, that maybe you can't collect until you are stacked upon a few layers of your own path? Anyways, Fun and clever!

Cool game, I liked the concept a lot. What can be improved is that the movement is kind of jittery and it´s easy to collide when you do a lap against the last one because it is reflected only after finishing the lap.

Of course graphics are non existant, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Excelent idea!

Great idea. Haven't seen this one before.
Unfortunately, the controls were really jittery for me, and apparently, I do not have enough power to run it smoothly.

Very clever take on the theme. Got some Tron vibe.

Nice game overall :) It would be better if between each level, it doesn't change or reload the path, anyway, well done

Level transitions are dangerous, but great idea

This was really cool to experience for a game jam!

Very nice idea! Good job!

The main thing that can be improved (imho) are the transitions. The level shouldn't be re-randomized each time, and only new stuff should be added on each run. Also it'd be nice if you can do it some 3-loops ahead, so that the change is not instant and it's like the thing has always been there. That would also solve the other problem with them: sometimes a new line/object spawns right in front of you and you just lose instantly.

This is an simple and fun little game. The random generated is perhaps a bit to messy. Overall an okay little jam game.

Great idea, but the movement left and right was so slow and jittery. Felt like an odd bug, but I'm not sure if that's intended or not

I like little that audio, maybe next time. Chmm, that game is really fun, good for you :). Good game, but average art for me. Almost nailed that theme, but it still very thing what I imagine as this theme..

One last note: I always write down honest review, because everybody need that, not just nice craps with some bullshit, but sometime I will aperceite very good games. So if this review insult you, but use it well :) Anyway every game is counting so :)

It's simple but funny and addictive. Sometimes, the loop starts with an obstacle just in front you, so you can die unjustly. Nice entry, anyway!

The random geometry is cool an interesting, but a bit jarring when it suddenly changes as you pass each finish line, couldn't see why the stuff ahead was being drawn if it's never going to be reached. A nice fun little game though.

I like the concept a lot! The game ran a bit choppy for me, so it was hard to control, but if it ran smoother I'm sure it would be a lot of fun :)
