Game by MikadoH and Eliska

A short platformer about a hussite space duck, stuck in a single level with increasing difficulty. You could even say that she is stuck in a loop. (heh. Do you see what we did there?)

And the music? Loop! With increasing complexicity with every level.

Her walk animation? Loopy as well.

Sprites, music and sounds are all done by us.

There are 4 base levels plus one secret level.

@mog13 Hey! Thank you for your kind words on our first attempt at a game! I'm glad you liked the death animation
The secret level can be reached from the fourth one, if you fall to the left on the last platform.

Cool simple game, the music that changes at every level is what made me want to see the rest of the game !

I have never played as a duck with an eye patch before, this was fun.

This is wonderful, even though the art is bad is still love it and it fits so well with everything else. The only things I would change about this game is make the level path more obvious, and to tweak movement just a bit to allow more precise platforming. Oh and also allow a, and d to be used for movement as well.

Nice little game! The death animation was surprisingly impressive and I really liked the music progression. I was eager to finish a level just to hear the next variation :P

Delightful, I think that's how I'd describe this game. Everything about it is just all around fun and well though out. The musical choice was a really nice touch too. Fantastic job!

Fun game and cool duck. I had the same idea for the music in ours, layer on top of layer. :p

Highest marks were for humor. Space to jump didn't work on my machine so I had negative score almost immediately.

A very nice little platformer. The music is nice and it changes nicely with each level, but is a little bit too repetitive.

Cool platformer with smart mechanics well suited for the theme. I like what you did with the music, and the duck is of course very cool!

Very fun platformer game and I like the idea of changing the room every loop. The animations were quite morbid, but I guess that's what you aimed for. Oh and nice music, but can't help to not hear The Real Slim Shady melody in there, not sure if that's on purpose or not. Well done!

Very cool, I eventually got through it all once I read that the red crabs can safely be eaten. The eye patch duck is hilarious, and like the crabs and castle art too, plus the music of course all makes it really fun :) The platforming mechanics could use some work, sometimes I was able to jump from side walls. But really great, and complete entry, good job!

Great art and music, but the programming deserves praise too, it works smoothly and without glitches. Congrats to the both of you on your first game!

+0.5 stars in multiple categories for having the eye-patch on only one eye.

This game was super novel and I had a lot of fun with it. The music is superb and I love the way it develops each loop through the level. The one minor critique I have is that it isn't very obvious that the red crabs are good. I understand the instructions say that but not everyone is going to read those beforehand and they seem like enemies at first. That said, that didn't really impact my enjoyment and this was one of the more enjoyable entries I've played from this LD.

I love the shifting music for each loop. I also like the way that, when you die, any enemies that you had killed will still stay dead. That's a nice touch that builds on the theme of looping.

I find the grisly animations--in particular the death animation--notable. I don't really have an opinion on them, I mostly just find that they stand out--they are very important to the characterization of the game's aesthetic and atmosphere.

So yeah. A nice simple game, makes good use of the theme.
