My first individual game jam game!

Keep the Demon race alive by rescuing them and bringing them to the portal! Can use either WASD or Arrow Keys to move :) I'd recommend using the FullScreen option in the bottom right corner.

it was fun! Was hoping for more levels. The sound effects are a bit loud though :)

Unsure why but it doesn't load for me.(Edit never mind it started working)

the sound effects are a bit loud and like dianacalistru said i'm a bit sad that its just over after you beat the level.

I LOVE the music and graphics for this game. It has a lot of charm! The game itself is pretty basic though, I would add a few more levels.

Congratulations on finishing your first individual jam game!

I am a sucker for a good pun, and as such I love the idea of a blowfish named diablow being sieged by angelfish. :)

Thanks @dianacalistru, my boyfriend said the same thing about the sound effects after he tested it. I should probably quiet them a bit, but I thought how loud they were was really funny at the time X_X

@catalystl Thanks! I could probably add some more levels now that the jam is over! Personally, I wouldn't have had time over the weekend. That puffer fish took a few hours to draw! lol

@koolruz I love puns too! The only game ideas I have are based off of dumb puns. It's a great way to get an idea started though!

@west I'm glad you got it to load! I definitely would love to add more levels now that the jam is over. And I guess I should fix that sound too!

The sound effects terrified my pet bird and now she won't stop screaming and pooping

Cool short game :) The sound was a bit loud but the puns made up for it. Great job for a first individual game!

Pretty fun game! Was shorter than I expected, but hey, it is a game jam. Good job on the sound, probably the strongest aspect. Nice job!

It is funny to try to dodge the fishes. I would have liked more different challenges(a level with fishes moving verticaly, a level with fixed walls, a level with tons of little devils ...). The sound effects were too loud and aggressive. Good work overall!

PS: I see this is your first game jam. Congratulations to you for this achievement!

Hey, nice entry! I like your idea, art is great too! Sounds are not friendly for ears, and that the only minus of this game! Good luck with it!

Retro feel is good, it has that geocities look down :D
It would have been nice to add a few more levels.

Good job for your first entry alone!
I advice you for the next time to check in places like opengameart, itch.io for graphics and check that the result is not a mix of styles!
In the sound side, I like the background loop it's catchy! However the volume of the sound when you are caught ruins the game experience.
I advice you to make a "pre-release" before submitting and share with friends and family, they would catch these little mistakes before submitting.
Overall good job!

Congrats on the completion!
Great choice of music, mad props if you also did it during the jam. I liked the spritework as well, and both controls and difficulty were just right.
As people said, sounds are a bit jarring. It's usually a good idea to allocate time and give game for playtesting during the jam - that feedback really helps to identify the main problems.

@a333 Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, the sound issue isn't due to lack of playtesting. I thought how loud it was was SO funny when I heard it that I left it. No one else seems to think so

@subtlydramatic yeah, that's exactly the issue of feedback. If no one during playtesting likes the sounds, most probably tired, sleepless, game-saturated herd of LD jammers won't appreciate it as well.
But hey. Director decisions are director decisions =)

fitting username btw.

It was an interesting experience and not what I expected. I wasn't sure what atmosphere you were going for; I guessed comedic and kinda wild. The sounds hurt, I would mess around a bit more with the sound effects; the music was pretty decent though. The gameplay is simple and works well. The instruction page was a bit hard to read due to the messiness of it.

Overall, it's just a crazy collage which makes me feel like it's an LSD trip (not that I know lol). But hey, it plays well and works! Good job on finishing dood :)

The first sound effect blew out my eardrums and I almost sh*t my pants. :o

Regardless, I really dig the artstyle you went for. The gameplay itself is simple, yet fun. :)

Overall, I enjoyed it very much. A cute, enjoyable take on the theme. I would have loved to see more levels but time is a b*tch in jams.
