sweet concept, could make for a cool puzzle game

Loved the idea and the execution. Was really fun to play through!

Very good idea, although in the more complex stages it can be a bit confusing as to which object you're gonna possess, especially when you have to react quickly.

Enjoyed - I wish it was a full pause when exerting influence rather than just a slowdown. Your SFX were glorious but the music loop was a bit too repetitive for me.

Beat it! The music was also driving me kinda crazy, and I found it quite easy to cheat the more complex levels by immediately killing most of the enemies and kiting the hero with the last. The possession radius could have been smaller, I think. Cool idea!

@caeonosphere & anonymous - hard agree, the music (and audio normalizing!) are definitely two things that went out the window to bring things in within the deadline, but I absolutely would have gone back and added more variety to the music just to save people's sanity :)

definitely heard on the possession radius as well - i gave the knight a pretty big detection radius and so i thought it'd be nice to have a big possession radius, but i could have toned them down, especially after i started realizing that the levels became REALLY cramped because of both of those things

Woah you had a lot of cool mechanics! The whole idea is really unique. This was very fun, and the ending was pretty rewarding :)

Love the idea and the intro genuinly cracked me up. However not a big fan of the execution, the knight moves a bit erratic, speeding up and slowing down seemingly at random, which makes it really hard to predict when to move a possessed object. It's also tough to select the thing you want to possess when there's multiple options on the screen. Another thing that would have been nice would have been an indicator for the knight's vision radius. That would make it much easier to predict how he's gonna act.

This is fantastic and deserves more attention!

@tomathor yeah, that's totally fair! the knight stops any time the thing he's chasing moves, but i definitely could have made that clearer with some kind of visual feedback on that. also, i agree on the detection radius. it seemed like part of the challenge initially to not have it showing but ultimately i think it doesn't increase the difficulty in a fun way at all, so that's definitely something i'd like to change!

One of the more original ideas I've seen from a jam game! I enjoyed the audio a lot and playing through it was great

This is really clever! I was a bit confused at first when I thought I was watching cutscenes, then I realized it was an actual level to play in! Really cool puzzle mechanics, luring the knight with a hierarchy of lures to guide him through a dangerous maze. It gets pretty hard pretty quickly, having to switch between so many things quickly, so I am glad you made time slow down when choosing targets.

The humor is top notch easily, the silly sound effects when the knight fights are does anything really is great. It is a little tricky switching between targets quickly but there is plenty of feedback to know what is going on. Neat visual effects on the influencing as well. Great job!

I liked the idea of this a lot. The zigzag level was really hard to execute on, for whatever reason - and the game crashed on me twice here, I think you might have a bug around switching targets while a goblin you're possessing is dying. But this is a fun package, enjoyable to play and look at, and is a complete game. Very nice work - I think you have an action-puzzle you could really flesh out here.

@quillwerth that's good to know! i think i can imagine why it happened, now that you mention it. lol, congrats on your impromptu QA position! also, thank you for the kind words!

Nice, and really challenging! I still can't get very far, I've even crashed the game a couple times trying to do everything too fast.

Really nice game. It's a bit hard for me though. I know which thing I want to select but I never can get it correctly before the guy gets himself killed. Also, short music.

Really cool and unique idea. And cool level design! I had a crash at one point, it seemed to be when I tried to possess a chest just as he opened it but not a big deal :) A really fresh idea and job well done! Great entry!

Enjoyable! wish the beginning, or at least the first intro slide when he moves towards the cave was just a little bit slower so i could manage to read all the text properly. i also had a crash in the zig-zag level, I was swapping possessions between the character and the crate as i managed to burn it up haha, i was distracted for a second and panic pressed space a couple times when i realized i was burning up my precious loot.

A way to skip the intro, or at least fast forward through it would be nice

Other then that, audio was nice, graphics where solid, liked it!

Ok, I dunno if I'm just an idiot or if there's a bug, but I cannot play this game. I get to the first actual level, where the knight walks into the lava, and it tells me to press space. So I do, and it make s a purple thing appear, and time slow down. I can move the purple thing to the goblin with arrow keys, but it doesn't seem to actually effect the knight or the goblin at all? he just goes for the goblin and hits the lava every time, regardless of what I do.
Is there another control I need to use to affect the creature I'm possessing? I tried mouse and wasd.

hey @wheybags, thanks for trying it! i should make it a little clearer - you use the arrow keys and the spacebar only, so after selecting the goblin with space and arrow keys, you'll use the arrow keys to move the goblin around. sorry about the confusion there!

Oh man, I was pressing arrow keys only while I had space held down...

@wheybags no problem, haha! it would be good for me to make that clearer

Neat idea. Selecting what you were trying to posses with the arrow keys was a bit finicky, but otherwise quite well done.

such a unique idea. I found that sometimes our very stupid lawful good party member would pick up the loot chests too quick, which would unfairly foil my plots. Loved playing the game! I'd love to play a fully fleshed out version honestly.
