Nice game. Very good mood, with the music and graphics. The lumberjack is a bit slow, its frustating :stuck_out_tongue:

@ommadawn hahah yea, he's slow at the start. But if you find a couple of shrooms he is insanely fast at everything :D

Nice game, but I think the fire burns up too fast when you haven't found any speed shrooms yet

Really nice game! The tree for me are a little too spread out making kind of too hard to keep up however I did keep trying to get a better score. I like the ambiance that you had in the world. As well as the music good job!

@marxy-37 Thanks for the feedback. The timer was added last minute so we didn't have time to adjust this. And cool highscore you got there. Only us two devs are ahead of you :)

Nice meditative gameplay and atmosphere. I wish there was something else to do beside chopping wood and eating shrooms, but still it was very fun. Reminds me of minecraft with its calming music and sounds.

What a nice mood, Orks aren't always slaining Humans with their axe, sometimes they use it to chop down trees ;). I have a couple advice for you concerning the game. Especially as our game also uses the fire as mechanic and because we struggled to keep our game "balanced".

First, you didn't use any static UI elements like a fire health bar, maybe you didn't want to, but when you're far from your fire, I think you need a bit more info about how it's going. You could make the Ork speak like "The warmth of the fire keeps my heart ready for tomorrow's battle" when the fire is at max health. And something like "If I don't bring up a log right now, I will probably never see my children again.". Those are exagerated sentences of course but you could add some more depth with such a way ;).

Also, I think your game is not balanced, you can't keep your fire alive more than 2 minutes if you don't catch a shroom. Otherwise you can't reach the trees, chop them down and bring the logs back in time. I think this problem comes from your level design. In order to regulate that you could place a ring of trees around the camp, as "starter pack" , and spare them as you go further. This would allow your player to store a bit of wood. Having some storage of wood will then allow him to explore a bit, which is interesting in your case because your game is very moody.

I hope that this could help you, don't hesitate to reply to me as we can talk about it ;).
Still a great entry, well done!

Nice entry, I like the mood of the game, very chill. The fire is too fast related to the player, sometimes I couldn't afford to take a mushroom instead of cutting wood. But I managed to finish the game, so I'm glad after all

@bionikmonster Wow thanks for the elaborate feedback! We are going to adjust gameplay related issues once we add a couple more features to release it on iOS and Android. We know that the balancing isnt quite there yet and are determined to make it better as we get further into development! I like the idea with the voice input as the "missing" UI was a design choice. We didn't want you to explore too much as there isnt really anything to see other than more trees but i like the concept of storing logs none the less.

Thanks again for the great feedback!

I love the lighting effects and graphics. Overall great atmosphere. The only thing I would have liked to seen is some sort of indicator about the fire's status as I'm far away. But that's minor - everything I really liked. Thanks!

Fun game, very well-polished, I absolutely enjoyed it. Not to brag, but I survived for the first try (shrooms are op).

One recommendation: it would be nice to have some feedback what the character will do when I left click. Maybe highlight the object which he interacts with? A bit clarity would have been helpful sometimes.

For instance, when I a log and the axe was next to each other, I wasn't sure which one he will pick up.

Other then that, I think you folks nailed it. The scoreboard is a nice extra touch! Amazing job! ^_^

@guladam Hey Thanks for the kind words! Yea we considered the highlighting feature for a second but we didn't pull through with it as time was running out. And yes you are right, shrooms are op :P
