A lot of sweat, tears and pancakes later, Hooper has become a reality. This cute, money hungry bunny whacks his opponents with his hula hoop, as long as it spins fast enough! Can you get to the chest before you run out of carrots?

​Move Hooper with the mouse to make the hoop spin!

We figured that a lot of people would go for a repeating level concept or doing the same thing over and over again, so we figured we'd take a more... Objective look at "Stuck in a loop". A hula hoop is a loop, no?

Loved this submission! I had a bit of difficulty getting the hula hoop to swing fast enough to consistently hit enemies, but thought this art was so incredibly on point and love the concept. Good job guys!

I had problems getting my hula hoop technique down, but that's probably because I can't hula hoop in real life either. The art is really cute and the music fits really well.

The art was really cute and so was the music! I feel like the game lacks some feedback to inform the player of what's working. I was never sure if I was doing the right thing to spin the hoop, and it wasn't clear if I was hurting enemies or not. It's hard to hit them before they carrot you to the ground! I reached the chest but nothing happened :( Nice work for your first time!

@kyrio Yeah, we had to rush a bit to get it shipped. The spinning's a bit tough to get used to and a little feedback on when it's spinning hard enough would have been nice.

The chest actually does work, but you have to defeat the wolfette that's guarding it. Didn't really have the time to make that clear either.

Crunch got us good but we had a great time :D

@nimerya @rainyday2800 @charlotte-raymond Thank you all for playing! Yeah, the hula hoop definitely has a bit of a trick to it yo get it spinning well, and we may not have had the time to balance the enemies... But I'm glad you all still enjoyed it!

The art is really good! I had trouble getting the attack right but I knew what you were trying to do and it was very innovative. It has some polish but with a little more this game can be fun. Maybe a meter showing the hoop is ready or the hero flashes when the hoop is fast enough to hit the enemy? Also, I think the motion control with the mouse was a bit too taxing, but that's just me. Still a nice entry for a game jam. Good job!

@sidonie-go @no-grapes-games Thanks for playing! Lemme tell you though... We've tried keyboard controls and it's far more RSI inducing than using a mouse. We were thinking about using gamepad controls, but we didn't have time to make both and didn't want to exclude the people who didn't own one.

I also agree we need to make everything a bit more clear. Damage indicators etc.

The visuals and music are great! I wasn't sure if I was spinning correctly, it would be great to have some feedback (some kind of meter or countdown) to the player about that :)

Nice art and music. It is a bit hard to control the hoop. I have struggled a lot to spin it in the beginning :( , but I still did enjoy great work!
